A few days ago, my project, [url]newsotg.com[/url], hit 500,000 users with an average daily pageview of 60,221 views.

This is a huge milestone for the small project that I started 2 months, 14 days ago.


According to Alexa, It has a global traffic rank of #56,516 in the world.
This website is estimated to be worth $ 316,080.00 and has a daily income of around $ 439.00 where I write at least ten articles a day as a wealth writer.

Background
I got the idea to build newsotg.com right after my brother, a finance analyst, shared this vision with me and we agreed to pursue it together as I am an SEO specialist two months ago. I was really curious to know about financial markets, and I read about the Bloomberg way and other e-books that helped me greatly in this newly found passion.

So we agreed that we could actually create a website that gives people a nice and well-summarised perspective on the global financial market.

Challenges
Scaling up to this number of users has been quite challenging. I've had to re-architecture the website a few times to make sure it can handle the large number of users signing up every day.

Tech Stack
NewsOTG is basically a WordPress site.

Everything runs inside a docker of WordPress.

Marketing
My biggest channels for acquiring new users have been organic and word of mouth.
This has caused [url]newsotg.com[/url] to go viral on Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, e.t.c numerous times.

What's Next?
My goal is to continue giving people more detailed insight into the financial markets and to help them discover summarized financial information.
