Cross River PDP Reps joins Labour Party, says he will not be part of any platform that will not uphold the principles of zoning and rotation.

A member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives, Rep. Daniel Asuquo, has officially joined the Labour Party(LP)

Rep. Daniel Asuquo, who hails from Akamkpa in Cross River Southern Senatorial district, announced his defection to the Labour Party in a letter addressed to the PDP ward chairman of Akamkpa Urban Ward, Akamkpa LGA, Cross River State

He said he will not be part of any platform that will not uphold the principles of zoning and rotation, according to him, he had consulted widely among his constituents before reaching the decision.

Also, Former Deputy Speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly and Member Representing Cross River State Board of Directors in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Barr. Dominic Aqua Edem has officially joined the Labour Party.

Hon. Dominic was presented with the party card by the State Chairman of the Labour Party Ambassador Ogar Osim.

However, former Ayade Commissioner, Hon. Saviour Nyong has denied rumours of his defection to the Labour Party, reacting to the news, he said he believes strongly in the candidature of Prince Bassey Otu in APC and he will remain in the party to work for him.

Good job. He is young and looks vibrant. So long as the person is a youthful person with new ideas. We welcome.him with open arms to Labour Party. However we must be careful not be become another APC. We are not desperate to win the election. We will simply win it.
