In the Nigerian University system and in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Board, UTME, there’s a specified mark that every candidate who partakes in the entrance exam (JAMB in this case) is expected to attain before one can be considered for a provisional admission or qualify to write POST-UTME in the specified school the person chose as a first or second choice.

The cut off mark is mostly determined by the school and JAMB does not affect the decision made by the school senate.
