Hello My Number 1 online forum, rather family. Hope you guys are doing great well as for me,I am kinda stranded because I am planning of quiting this my 18k-teaching job and pursue two things together.

Guys we all know how the situation of this country is, I have finally decided to buy my first online course at udemy, not fully for the purpose of their course rather their reputation and certificate will help me as an upcoming Web developer and Graphics Designer. And at the same time I'm going to start learning Laptop repairs at ikeja. Since my boss agreed to leave me by 5 pm, I thought (still a thought) I will be able to merge both together. The course is 65 hours, that's 2days and some hours, of course I can't finish it... I will be learning it Gradually.

Please what do you guys think, I really need to upgrade this year. As for feeding, I still leave with my parents and they sponsor my feeding, moreover I gave my mum 10k for this laptop learning and 10k for feeding, she should know how she will managed it for 3months of learning it.

It’s a Good plan if you find a balance for the two. But you need to have something giving you money no matter how little…. Quest for money can be a distraction when you’re trying to learn a skill. To be realistic you need more than 3months to acquire the adequate knowledge needed for web development

God bless you Bro, I have 2yrs experience with html and css but I didn't learn js, so I think that will take me times to learn.

And I'm a junior keyboardist �� in mfm, they help me with total of 2k for little little expenses. I go manage that one. Let me just learn laptop repairs, I know laptop repairs shouldn't take up to 4 months, I budget 3months.

Sounds like a good plan.

While learning, i'll advice u still hold on to something to give you constant income for some couple of months cos even after learning, jobs won't just come flying in just like that.

If you can get the udemy course via backdoor, please do and save the money for something else.

Learn as many things as possible cos one source of income can be risky in Nigeria of today bayi.

Did you say you're a pianist? How good are you? If you're fairly good, then team up with some producers so you could do assistant producer or standby pianist for their sessions so you could make some money as well.

Its really not easy in this country. May God help us all!

Start with your church fellas na ...

Let people know on your whatsapp, church, street that you're a good pianist and can work in a studio ... if you have a keyboard, do some few seconds show off ... or do some simple lil beats using FL Studio and had pix ... use as status ... Add "Available for collaborations" etc
