When the owo massacre took place many Christians rushed online to vet their anger and condemned such act ; tagging it as barbaric ,inhumane ,and sheer evil .
I agree with that and condemned the action too .
Of course it should be condemned in it totality .

But don't be too quick to forget that a Nigerian artist once sang a song which was once the trend of the moment .
And that song carries a lyrics that threatens the existence of the church .

The artist I'm talking about is called "Teni Makanaki ."
The song's title is - " case" or "for your case "
The lyrics goes like this
"I go burn the church for your case ."
Meaning I will burn the church because of you ."

I want to believe that some of those who condemned the owo massacre and called it evil had once or more sang that lyrics and took no concious thought of what the consequences would be if those words should be acted out .

How can you sing about burning the body of the same God you pray to everyday and from whom you hope to receive provisions for survival ?

You go to church every Sunday -then imagine been burnt inside the church .
I know some might say "it just a song ;stop been myopic .
Is it truly just a song sang for fun ? ,
Could it also be said that those who killed the owo worshippers did what they did just for fun ?
When you sang that song did you feel guilty in your conscience ? Probably no !
maybe those murderers felt nothing too .

I'm not trying to make excuse for their action but my point is : if you are not careful about what you say about the body of Christ then which right do you have to condemne those who act like you .

That song is not just a song but an insult to body of Christ .
Please let's watch and be careful to deal with the things of our faith with reverence ,love and unity .
Teni's song - CASE is not a song that a christain who truly loves jesus christ should sing.
And there are many other songs out their that blaspheme ,insult and persecutes our faith .
We should strive not to share in their sin by singing along .
