This is what journalism should be. You ask questions that are relevant and technical. This is not friendship nor NTA where you just ask questions that even nursery pupil know the answers. Questions that reflects the mind of the citizenry Can you tell me how partisan they are? Or is the country not nose-diving? |

pineed: How please? I can go into a debate with you that they acted professionally. Go watch other interviews of Arise TV with other candidates or supporters and see whether they changed in their mode of questioning. Infact, when you're not prepared and you're on Arise TV, the world will know. This is what Channels TV is now falling short of. I hope they rekindle that aspect back. The other day, Shittu was ranting and full of arrogance and pride when asked questions. In a sane clime, journalists are known to ask very technical and difficult questions. But here, we see the contrary and when you meet journalists who are bend on precision, accuracy and technicality, you call them names. So, you want a journalist to be praising a guest or questioning them like a child when the nation is on fire? Infact, the female journalist the other had to call for a dictionary to explain her choice of words to Ex Minister Shittu, and he was ashamed We play politics with everything. This is a crucial time in our nation and we can't afford to have chicken hearted journalists representing and asking the needed questions |

Reuben is clearly an Emilokan man, he does not hide it, Tundun is not vocal but she is on the side of Reuben. Rufai allows his emotions to take control of him which ought not to be. |

Carlylepneuma: I watched same interview.... What the general said, does it reflects the general view of the society? One interview in Channels TV, we had a retired Colonel who was courageous to criticize this government constructively and was also ready for the consequences Oseni did the job for me. It shows how partisan this northern ex service men thinks. This is same way they behaved when these monsters were created in their region years ago. The general was talking about a war 40yrs ago. We all knew there was a war and the country then prepared for it. Has this government ever condemned any attack in the north and matched it with necessary actions? Did the general agreed that we're now in a war? Go and see what Gov Sanwolu said on Channels TV on Sunday without critically examining his statements and matching them with the realities on ground. They allow him leave without him answering some critical questions Arise TV is the true representation of the masses. God bless Nigeria 2 Likes |

emkz: I would have passed but then, I must appreciate your opinion. It's quite unfortunate that in this part of the world, people aren't objective when they seek change and they do things with a biased mind. Any politically neutral person will see how Arise TV do beyond the calls of their duties by haranguing their guests and disguising under "Constructive criticism" when we know they are for OBI or put differently against APC. It is not that APC has done anything meaningful and we all condemn them outrightly but then, it's quite preposterous to always show their bellicosity and belligerent attitudes when they face any government officer. They allow their emotions to take them on when they out to be biased. It would seem they are being constructive considering the fact that there is a thin line between constructive criticism and their bias. Rufai Oseni is worst, I used to like him before especially how he asks cogent questions from his guests which is largely missing in Nigerian journalism but he has developed a cocky, conceited and overbloated ego all due to his fans. To think he even violated the law, lied, and still threatened further after always castigating people. Dr. Abati has always being matured but then he allowed his grouse with Wike overwhelm the ethical part of his work. As for Tundun, she has been relatively fair amongst them all though I guess she goofed in alienating his personal life from her professional duty when her father's issue was mentioned. Sincerely, I appreciate your post. Quite at variance with the littered parochial views laced with bias, animosity, and anti-logic littered posts of many here. That this government isn't doing right shouldn't bolster Journalists to be unduly making guests uncomfortable. 1 Like |

emkz: This your advice should be best suited for NTA, TVC & Radio Continentals. Don't you think so And by the way, where were you in 2014 when Channels TV was practically supporting Buhari in almost all it programes Mauope of Channels TV for instance, could not hide her preference of Mr. Buhari over other candidates prior to the 2015 elections. Why were you not complaining then & writing this your unfounded epistle Oh' perhaps, because it was favourable to your party & candidate then, so you now feel pain that, your candidate isn't getting much of the attention again. Go to your oga's TVC platform, it's only his agenda that they anchored & promoted. Go & report them to NBC & leave Arise TV crew alone. 1 Like |

I think Dr Reuben Abati is more matured, knowledgeable, measured and balanced than the younger presenters. That said, I think Arise News carves out a special and unique form of news and media presentation unrivalled by their competitors. As long as they keep reviewing their performance and correct mistakes, it is all good. |

udeh3:that's why it is call democracy everybody is entitled to his opinion and the general has voice his. All he's trying to say is that, we Nigerians should have faith in our country and let the media do better than portraying failure and stop educating people that their system as well as their country is a failure. The media should speak more also about the success of our dear nation and I believe as a learned citizen u will agree with me that the media is part of our problem in this country and the world entirely... Amin to your prayer... |

Carlylepneuma: How's the media our problem? Do the media reports the realities? There's a school of thought that says our media is even under-reporting events For us to have faith in a country, the leaders themselves must have faith in her. PMB went outside the country and said this country is corrupt and her youth are lazy. He also said about a region who gave him 5% vote. With of all these, where's the hope of the common man? For us to have faith in this country, we have acknowledge the failure first. But this government clamps on any criticism. Has this government ever own up to their failure and gross incompetence since in office? So, how do we start writing the wrong when we hate to hear that we've failed? Hypocrisy everywhere |

udeh3:regardless of our economic crises, nigerians are still striving to make us proud looking at the entertainment industry, sport e.t.c why is d media not advertising more of such successes? wen u talk about the media under reporting events, am sure u knw that also includes both our achievements and our deficiency... Wen the president called Nigerian youths lazy does that make us really lazy? Sir I don't want to talk about PMB because he's the failure not our country Nigeria. I have hope and faith that someday things will be better in Nigeria... That's my take and that's wht I believe in... God bless Nigeria.... |

Carlylepneuma: I sincerely support your claims. I have hope in the country Nigeria if only we get and keep getting it right. Hope is beyond wishing and not doing the right things and taking the right decisions continually won't be proportional to the hope we all dreams of. I sincerely hope we get the right leadership and synergy in place as we journey towards 2023 presidential election God bless Nigeria 1 Like |
