The Catalan football player had an automatic contract extension until June 30, 2026, and the deal between the teams concluded at £11 million.

Sergio Gómez put pressure on the Belgian team to release him in the transfer market because he did not want to pass up the fantastic opportunity to play in the Premier League and for the reigning champion.
