They should keep it UP....

This present administration thought it was easy when they were blabbing their mouths and flexing their muscles about what they'd do and what they'd not do when they were campaigning...
Heaping coals on PDP like they had everything figured out...

Now they are a much more mess...

Let's hope we'd be able to make the "better" choice in the next election cos there could never be a best choice.

Bro no mind them
Doyou2019:

ASUU should yet again resume, and get what it can from a government that has proven time and time again to be untrustworthy, since the dawn of its administration!
What did I just read?
Hostels are overcrowded, labs are grossly lacking in tools, research work is zilch, libraries are shii, power dead, everything that makes a university what it should be in the 21st Century is totally absent, yet this buffoon expects business to continue as usual?
I talk am na. Dumbos can't think. They can't even fail at it. It's his type getting ready to vote APC and failure back into power. Oniranu.

Again, future parents should do Nigeria a favour by making sure their kids do not to end up as useless as this idiot on here. It's the least we can all do to salvage this country.

Same way only Babangida saw election malpractice in an election that was free and fair that Abiola won.

ASUU RASCALITY.
It's terribly sad that successive Nigerian governments, over the years, have allowed ASUU to hold in captivity, the destiny of young Nigerians.

The reason being that, when they have raped the nation, they are paid a lump sum in arrears of salaries and wages, for no job done.

There is no nation where bad and negative behaviours are rewarded positively. This is why the Federal Government MUST stand on it's "No work, No Pay" rule.

As painful as the current strike is, this stand of the Federal Government, will put a PERMANENT end to the incesstant greedy and selfish strikes that favours only the ASUU Executives.

The ASUU executives, have union dues to live on for as long as the strikes last. The Lecturers who pay the dues, are left with no salaries for months on end. The Lecturers can help by demanding to know how their dues have been spent and that it's not funding the extravagant lifestyles of those they entrusted the funds to.

So why are the Lecturers not concerned? They are also, the ones who teach in private universities so they earn in those places too. Teaching in four different universities ensure that they are not committed nor dedicated to any of their unfortunate students.

"The Congress of University Academics (CONUA) has asked the federal government to conclude its registration. CONUA has been seeking formal recognition for about four years since it's members broke away from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). -@PremiumTimes

In my myopic opinion, this union should be registered and recognised. The Federal Government needs to look into this. It's a viable alternative to the morbidly politicised ASUU.

The Government of Muhammadu Buhari has expended a total of ₦6,003,947,848,237 in capital and recurrent expenditure in the education sector, in the past 7 years. In addition, there're interventions from TETFUND and UBEC amounting to ₦2.5 Trillion and ₦553,134,967,498 in capital investments, respectively

JAMB now remits billions of Naira to the Federal Government. What happens to the Tuition fees paid by Nigerian students in Universities? Just asking.

This ASUU rascality will be the last prolonged strike by ASUU in Nigeria. We are getting there. As we say in England, "It gets worse before it gets better."

Please stand by your government to win this final battle for Nigerian students and Nigeria.

God bless Nigeria.
Lauretta Onochie.

APC government that throws billions around and some of their officials loot our commonwealth in billions will claim they don't have money to meet ASUU demands.

A very wicked government with wicked supporters. That's why before they won, they keep talking of blood and their is blood everywhere in their regime including blood pressure.
That's what's giving ASUU headache and fuel to continue the strike. The political paying form is barbaric. If you hear all that the least HoR or senator has earned for 4years, a lecturer may not earn it for 20 years. We need balanced payment

What do you think is the best solution for this long industrial action to come to an end?

I think the govt should give them what they want or at least come to term in balance equation to favour both side.

You are rude and one of the many idiots in the country. My quoted message says long overdue which implies the statement has been made but nothing seem to be forthcoming from this govt, they're more. Concerned with the election. It's clear the funds it's there but no consideration for education. ASUU can get what it can from the govt return to school and then have a round table talk with whoever wins the next govt, if this govt commits to its demand now and the next govt can't meet up isn't that another strike.

You don't comprehend what was said but quick to jump on a regularly. Who is on the loosing side no be the common man pikin ? What so ever happens ASUU gets paid for the duration the strike lasted but who compensates the student yet youd not admit how du*m you are.

GTFOMM joor
is the common man pikin ASUU’s problem, or the federal government meant to lead and protect them’s problem?

Before we were born, ASUU has used strike actions to hold govt to ransom as it is the only language they know.

So, do not expect ASUU to stop doing what they know how to do best. They are used to it.

I think the government should only make concessions that are realistic.

If ASUU wants to live in the cloud or blackmail government because it is close to elections, let them do their worst.

Whoever takes over would meet the same reality maybe even worse on ground.

Remember, if they strike for 1 year, they'll be expecting the entire backlog be paid.

Students, if you like continue supporting ASUU.
