BREAKING: Again, ASUU Extends Strike by ogododo: 9:20am On Aug 29, 2022
After a series of heated discussions, the Academic Staff Union of Universities has decided to extend its ongoing strike, The PUNCH reliably learnt.

The decision was taken after the National Executive Council meeting at the union’s headquarters at the University of Abuja on Monday morning.

They should have stayed home and end this madness once in a while.

I don't want to hear about ASUU strike next year or 2024.

This means that the national executive council flouted the decision of various universities in Nigeria.

At this point, the student representative should also make a demand to ASUU.
This should be the final time they should go on strike cos students are also big loosers and if ASUU are asking for for salary arrears for months they didn't serve, who would refund students their four months rent that was wasted?
We can't keep looking as ASUU and FG keeps playing with the future of our students in this their endless strike that they keep embarking.
What are NANS for, are they no longer functional?

ASUU should either extend the strike for as long as is necessary to make sure this issue that has been lingering for decades is resolved once and for all, OR get their asses off their seats and resume school immediately. It will be highly insensitive for them to call off the strike after so many months without fully achieving their aims, only to declare strike again 1 yr later.

Federal government should not continue looks helpless about ASUU issue. ASUU is not only Labour Union in Nigeria to cry out loud. We have two other Union within university's system. Approve the second proposed Union to break monopoly of ASUU.

The reason why politicians and their family members should be banned for life from traveling abroad. Until that happen ms, everything for this country will be taken for granted

There's nothing you can do for ASUU to prevent them from going on strike in the future. You can only satisfy their immediate needs. They will bring another demands in future.

That policy should be applied to both parties none should be exempted!

Bunch of Professors who can't think like a real intelligent fellows,

where in the world has it been heard a group mofos shutdown the Nation's Educational Sector sake of unresolved agreement over a decade plus?

students should just use this opportunity to he learn handiworks because this strike is not ending anytime soon
