Nna mehn

He probably just wanted to get the certificate and ghost off

If he was an SUG president
Not sure he would have made such statements knowing fully well the small small chops he did get from it he would have prayed for the school session to begin ASAP

Well, that's how he felt. He didnt remember the government as well whose poor education policies led ASUU to go on strike. But in all seriousness, is striking the only solution to the perennial underfunding of the institutions of higher learning? Methinks NO. The lecturers should learn to carry along and co-opt the students in their struggle. The students are the primary constituencies. A situation whereby students go on protests and shut down the road to government houses until ASUU demands are met would be more effective. Let the students negotiate. In the community level, we have learnt to use youths to achieve thorny demands.

So government should just cough out all the monies and fulfill all the agreement made since 1999.

ASUU should shift ground and accept.

Easier said than done. I didnt say all demands must be met. I meant that Strike is not an option. If they so want to demand the students can interface via protests on their behalf. For now the general public is not aware of sum demands and how many have been met. The whole scenario is insensitivity on the part of ASUU and govt. If govt wants to be exonerated, they should address the country on what and what has been met and which are outstanding so we can judge. No system imbalance in Nigeria can be resolved overnight.

Don't forget this is naija

They will be killed. Remember endsars

That is y when people blame ipob for sit at home, I ask them , do u want them to protest and be killed

I am not defending or supporting ipob, only saying that street protests work in same countries, not in naija

We need a form of civil disobedience that is credible, and cannot be hijacked by hoodlums, and used as excuse by government to kill people

Government is greedy, ASUU is greedier, greediest.

ASUU is not greedy.

ASUU is asking government to fund our universities better, how is that a crime. How is that being greedy.

No Nigerian university is among top 500 in the world. Why is that.

It is not only by salary increase that you fund universities. Think facilities. Etc etc

Re: Student Mocks ASUU, Signs Out With Shirt Marked "ASUU LOL" by Moneyboyz: 10:06am On Sep 01, 2022
Nigerian public universities are below standard, computer science students can't code a single line of program, SLT, biochemicals student can't identify chemicals cause they have never seen or experiment with one before, electrical engineering students cannot build simple machines, do not understand PCB boards etc.
Is there even any robotics course in our universities.
?
All they teach are theories no practicals, this is why we have huge waves of unproductive graduates every year.

If ASUU strike is based on correcting these things then it's for a good cause.

abeg shut you dirty mouth. Which funding? All our varsities are in good shape for learning, these guys are just thieves who are envious of politicians and want to loot their share. 1.1trillion naira kill them! Our varsities not being among too 100 and so what? Is that the reason why they're now unfit for students to learn? So schools like uniben, OAU, U.I etc don't have facilities good for learning or they now have problems that will make learning to stop even when lecturers are being paid their salaries? Only literate goats in human form are supporting or justifying the greedy criminal actions of those ASUU pigs. I hope Buhari stand by his word and not give them shi shi, thank God other well meaning and prominent Nigerians are calling for ASUU to be scrapped and replaced with other govt body that will oversee affairs of institutions

Been a while I heard that "Public universities are better than Private Universities" argument.

It's like students of government owned universities are busy chewing Agbado, cassava and Ewa during this prolonged strike period.

If not for Buhari, they would probably be arguing that schooling in a Nigerian Public University is better than schooling in Oxford.

PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES IN NIGERIA ARE GLORIFIED SECONDARY SCHOOLS. ASK MR MACARONI grin
