I made little findings that 80% of buildings that collapse in lagos are actually managed by civil engineers and architects. Human error is human error. If a building collapses it is the fault of the contractor or/and the financier .

Cost of building houses has risen so much and as a result people are trying to cut corners. For example how many people do soil test before building in swampy lands? People will want to bypass soil test despite how important it is in identifying the dept of a stable soil that can hold foundation . People also patronize substandard reinforcement and they try to minimize cement usage. All these can lead to collapse

Well said. But where do u work with this ur ratio of. 1.2.4. Although Its good for an adequate reinforcment. But stone is too much, it may cause honey comb and rough surface. 1.3.4 is okay
