Please I need advice on a Pentecostal non-prosperity church in Nigeria. I am tired of hearing about sowing seeds and reaping fruits of money and health because I have the conviction that it is not the true gospel.

Churchianism has absolutely nothing to do with what is the "true gospel" as it is instead founded on that which are the doctrines and traditions of men, lies, which Jesus Christ clearly warned deceive and delude the multitudes away from following God's Truth, what I assume you refer to as the "true gospel" - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 10 & Mark 7 vs 1 - 13. In fact, Churchianism might as well be likened to the broad gate through which Jesus Christ warned that multitudes of born-agains will flood into the Kingdom of God, a gate which unfortunately leads them all to destruction(eternal damnation) at the end - Matthew 7 vs 13 - 14 & Luke 13 vs 22 - 17.

So my first recommendation is that you disconnect your mind and mental from the churches of men, be they pentecostal, catholic, or any-costal... they have absolutely nothing to do with the truth of God.

Second advice, erase all doctrines and traditions of these churches and men from your mind and instead approach God Himself in order that He may teach you His truth anew. Jesus Christ came to remove the veil that existed between God and men. In Jeremiah 31vs 31 -34, God said of His New agreement(the Gospel and Law in the Kingdom of God) that He Himself will teach men of Himself. So, it makes no sense for you, upon knowing of God and of Jesus Christ being one who can save you from the burden that is this world, to then depend on other men to spoonfeed you there regurgitant - lies - when God Himself can be your very own Teacher - He said that He will be your one and only Teacher. So ask Him to come and be your Teacher, and allow Him to direct you in His way as He said He would.

2. Tha particular statement which these Churchians use to justify the foolishness that Churchianism is has instead to do with God's command to those of Hebrew descent. The writer of the letter to the Hebrew Christians instead meant that as advice for his Hebrew brethren, particularly those who were still in the Land of Canaan, that they continue to honor the many holy assemblies God commanded of them in His Old Law of Moses which also happens to be the National Constitution of the Nation of Israel given by God to the people of Israel whom He constituted a Nation of in the Land of Canaan.

God gave Holy days(Holidays) to the Nation of Israel.

On some of those days, He commanded them to observe what are holy assemblies with instructions on what they must not carry out on such days.

14 “This is a day to remember. Each year, from generation to generation, you must celebrate it as a special festival to the Lord. This is a law for all time.
15 For seven days the bread you eat must be made without yeast. On the first day of the festival, remove every trace of yeast from your homes. Anyone who eats bread made with yeast during the seven days of the festival will be cut off from the community of Israel.
16 On the first day of the festival and again on the seventh day, all the people must observe an official day for holy assembly. No work of any kind may be done on these days except in the preparation of food. - Exodus 12 vs 14 - 16

All this, as you can see, are of God's Old Law and Covenant, and as such the reason why the writer of the letter to the Hebrew Christians directed his message at those of Hebrew descent. Jesus Christ never asked any of His followers to build what you call churches, nor did He instruct His followers to gather in the way that is Churchianism under the bid and authority of men. Churchianity or Churchianism is a religion that is founded on that which is against Jesus Christ.

Spend more time in isolation worshipping, praying, interceding and studying the scriptures. The fastest way to grow in the knowledge of Christ.

You keep forgetting that salvation is a personal race that has nothing to do with your own views and interpretations. Kindly run your race . After all, you salvation cannot save anyone and neither can anyone's salvation save you

1. I am afraid your confusion is not mine. I am not Jesus Christ but I stated is exactly that which Jesus Christ taught to His followers from over 2000 years ago. If you had bothered reading through the Gospels without your "special interpretation" goggles you would known of this.

2. No one who follows the Truth of God would ever recommend the doctrines and traditions of men to others. You are not as opaque as you think.

3. Even safer to claim that I believe that Jesus Christ is absolutely the only Way there is to the Salvation which He offers - all the doctrines and traditions of men are lies which only lead the multitudes to paths that are against Jesus Christ , just as Jesus Christ Himself said and taught. The so-called shallow-mentality you perseve is born from that very conviction which I now have, thanks to God.

That is actually what Jesus Christ taught but sadly most of you are instead filled with ideas that are far from that written in scripture.
