I joined my friend to visit one of the contestants for House of Representatives(name withheld) yesterday in Enugu. When we entered his magnificent edifice situated in one of the most costly location in the town, I saw people in their numbers waiting for him as if their lives depend on him. After sometime, we entered one of the conference halls and met him addressing some of the political stakeholders from his constituency and my friend developed hope of having a one on one encounter with him. As for me, I don't hope on politicians as most of them are not and can never be sincere in their dealings.

Lo and behold, the big man finished addressing the stakeholders and was about moving towards his main building when my friend beckoned on me so we could walk up to him and remind him that he gave us an appointment to meet with him. We did exactly that and the man told us to wait for him that he was going in to arrange some things and would be back soon. We waited patiently for over 3hours with some other people in the waiting room, some older than him, while some could be his mate and we the Younger folks. After some more time of waiting, one of his PAs came out to tell us to exercise some more patience. Shortly after that, the man (stupendously rich) came out to tell us he couldn't attend to us as he had no time. Gosh! I was like this should be a man seeking for people's vote and still treating them with that degree of disregard. I know Enugu is PDP state, but when you are yet to win election, you show some courtesy to the people that would vote for you. Funny enough, some of them said they have been visiting his house for like a week without securing his attention and they continued spending their money on transport, wasting their time and reducing themselves to nothing. I later warned my friend never to call me for that sort of unwarranted visit next time.
