SqueezedPant: Mid or late year 2012 Macbook Pro is the bomb. Upgrade RAM to 16gb and swap in an SSD. Install Mac OS Monterey via OCLP. Just dey enjoy your life jejely. You can also dual boot an Ubuntu or Linux Mint distro on it (Fedora is a touchy bitch on dual boot…installation menu could wipe your EFI access ) The 2012 MBP is better than many newer Windows Laptops The baba of them all is the 2015 MBP mid year. Force track pad, Retina, Low heat, Longer battery life. From 2015, you can jump straight to M1. |
