I share the same sentiment with you but I think southern soldiers are afraid to go against their northern counterparts. In a nutshell they are cowards.

Nigerian soldiers don't act professionally when dealing with Nigerian civilians, especially in the southern Nigeria, so don't expect Nigerian civilians to appreciate whatever sacrifice you think you are making because you Nigerian soldiers derive joy in brutalizing and killing innocent unarmed civilians but when you meet armed militants like you, you start looking for civilians to show you sympathy, how?
