Advice: Top Up Programme Or Direct Entry For HND Graduate by kolad59: 5:24pm On Oct 05, 2022
I've been in a state of quandary over the next step after my HND programme in one of South West polytechnic this year.

I was told that some universities like Fuoye, KWASU, LASU etc. are doing top-up programme, which I am planning to consider but considering my discipline; Electrical Electronics Engineering.

Base on my university system knowledge, Engineering programmes is 5 years with some few months of industrial training after 200level(SWEP) and 400level second semester. Also, I learnt the programme is just two(2) years of six(6) semesters , more like starting in 300level but I don't know how those schools will perfect the transcript because I have always wish to continue my education abroad, but most of scholarship that I have come across always requires Bachelor degree.

While doing few research online, I came across a thread on nairaland where someone commented that COREN doesn't approve top-up programme.

Prior to ASUU strike, I was thinking of doing direct entry to University of Ibadan (UI) with my HND, I learnt they admit direct entry with HND to 300level, and I am currently waiting for my results but currently on distinction with my HND1 results.

I need your advice.
