Normally I won't join words with an APC apologist like you but I think the records need to be set straight.

Yes there is a global recession occasioned by the Russia Ukraine war. Whilst this has sparked a rise in fuel and gas prices worldwide, all oil producing nations (Nigeria inclusive) are supposed to be massively benefitting from this windfall. Instead, we are accumulating unprecedented debt, our excess crude account is going extinct, inflation is skyrocketing and in all this we are not seeing any effort by the government to insulate Nigerians from these dire economic conditions!!! Is it Agriculture? This government decided to support domestic rice production at the expense of the foreign rice. What is the effect? A bag of rice is now approaching 40k!!! How much is the minimum wage? How are Nigerians supposed to cope with these harsh realities on ground. Now there is a flood crippling many states and the response from the government has been quite slow and miniscule to the say the least. I would have expected a presidential task force set up to address flood issues like what was done concerning the COVID 19 pandemic and I would have expected the president to have been soliciting from help from other countries especially as he is currently out of the country at the moment.

All responsible governments are rising to the challenge and instituting social welfare programmes to assist their citizens cope with the current economic realities even in developed countries. Nigeria has not done enough. People are suffering everywhere and you are here running your mouth shamelessly.

It is almost the same price. In 2020, a kg of rice was sold about 3.4$, currently they are selling about 3.8-4.06$ .
