The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and his counterpart in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar were both missing at the ongoing Presidential Town Hall meeting in Abuja.

However, the PDP candidate was represented by his running mate, Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa.

Among those in attendance are Peter Obi of the Labour Party; Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP) and presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party, Kola Abiola. The trio all attended the event in person.

Democracy and Development (CDD) in collaboration with Arise TV had earlier invited four (4) of Nigeria’s 18 presidential candidates to a ‘presidential town hall’ to talk about their plans for Nigerians.

Those invited for the debate include Bola Tinubu of the ruling APC, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP, Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP.

The candidates were selected based on the performance of their parties in an online survey by the organisers during which all the 18 political parties were listed in alphabetical order.

Quest Times understands this is the umpteenth time the APC presidential candidate will be missing at a major public function. He was represented by Shettima at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference held in Lagos a few weeks ago and no explanations were offered for his no-show.

I used to respect Tinubu but his dodging of Arise Tv presidential debate is the last straw.
Any presidential candidate that treats presidential interviews and debates with disdain does not deserve to be a Presidential candidate let alone be on the ballot paper.
For a Presidential candidate of a ruling party to dodge interviews and debates is just embarrassing.
Bola Tinubu has become a joke and a very big disappointment.

I stand for the TRUTH.
