[size=13pt]Anambra PDP passes vote of no confidence on Metuh[/size] BY VINCENT UJUMADU AWKA – THE crisis rocking Anambra State branch of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, took another dimension yesterday, with members and new leadership of the party passing a vote of no confidence on the National Vice-Chairman of the party for South-East, Chief Olisa Metuh. At a meeting attended by chairmanship and councillorship candidates of the party in the state, the group urged members of the party not to attend meetings convened by Metuh, adding that his actions had shown that he was an agent of another political party in the state. Acting state chairman of the party, Prince Kenneth Emeakayi, who addressed the candidates at the party’s state secretariat in Awka said PDP should no longer be taken for a ride. He said he was not happy the way Metuh was allegedly pushing the people of Anambra State around. Emeakayi said efforts would be made to recover party’s funds allegedly misappropriated by Metuh and others, insisting that members of PDP would no longer be taken for a ride. Emeakayi said: “I am prepared to die for this matter, but one thing is clear and that is that Olisa must return our money. Nemesis is catching up with them!!! When they were messing up Anambra State, they didn't know. Those who were using them back then have abandoned then, jumped ship and realising their ambitions elsewhere. |
