1. Badagry
Badagry (or Badagri), is a coastal town and Local Government Area (LGA), close to the city of Lagos and it is located on the north bank of Porto Novo Creek, an inland waterway that connects Lagos to Benin Republic. During the Trans-Atlantic slave trade, the town was a connector between European traders on the coast and traders from the hinterland.
Badagry is one of the best places to travel with your family during this period when the children are going on vacation. It is also a great tourist destination because it is known for its historical background which includes the Badagry Slave Museum, Black History Museum, Gberefu Island also known as Point of No Return, Badagry Building which is the first story building in Nigeria, Agia Tree Monument where Christmas was first celebrated in Nigeria, and The Royal Palace of Mobee.
Other attractions include Coconut Beach, which is surrounded by coconut trees, local appetising dishes alongside a chance to learn about the history of Nigeria.

2. Cross River State
Cross River, in the South South geopolitical zone of Nigeria, is the nineteenth largest in area among the 36 states of Nigeria.
Cross River gets revenue from tourists’ attraction around the wildlife reserves such as Cross River National Park, Ikom Monoliths sites, Obudu Mountain Resort and the famous Calabar festival that is held during Christmas. From the delicious Calabar delicacies to the Afi Mountain walkway canopy, Tinapa Business Resort, Kwa falls, Calabar Marina, Calabar beach, Calabar Residency Museum, the Mary Slessor Tomb and the Calabar Slave Park, there is always a thrilling adventure awaiting you and your family when you visit.

3. Lagos State
Described as the cultural, financial, and entertainment capital of Africa, with a significant influence on commerce, entertainment, technology, education, politics, tourism, art, fashion in Nigeria.
The center of excellence is one of the most visited cities in Nigeria due to the fact that it is the headquarters of almost all the industries in Nigeria. When it comes to tourism, Lagos has lots of attractions to offer tourists like the National Museum of Nigeria, Tinubu Square, Eko Beach, Lekki Conservation Centre, The Lekki Free Trade Zone, New Africa Shrine, Freedom Park, La Campagne Tropicana, among others. 4. Ekiti State
Located in the South-West geopolitical zone of Nigeria, Ekiti is one of the six major Yoruba states in Nigeria and is well known for its hills and gift of nature. Among the state’s nature are false acraeas, mona monkey, forest buffalo and grey parrot populations, along with one of the last remaining Nigeria-Cameroon chimpanzee populations with a troop of about 20 chimpanzees in the heavily threatened Ise Forest Reserve.
A variety of tourist attractions thrive in the state, namely Ikogosi Warm Springs, Fajuyi Memorial Park, Osun River Source, Esa Cave, Orole Hills, Erin Ayonigba Sacred Fish River, and ArintaWaterFalls.

5. Niger State
Derived from River Niger, the third longest river in Africa, Niger State is one of the richest tourist locations in Nigeria and is also the largest state in the country. The State houses the three major hydro-electric power stations in Nigeria, namely: Kainji, Jebba, and Shiroro stations.
Some of the tourist attractions include: the famous Gurara Falls, Zuma Rock, Lord Lugard Colonial ruins, Kainji Lake National Park, The Moving Rock, Nagwamatse Well, Bida Brassworks, Shagunu Beach, Patigi Beach, among others.
