I'm yet to see a boxer get sued for seriously injuring or killing an opponent even if they didn't follow the rules.

Rabbit punches are illegal in boxing yet when Prichard Colon was left in a persistent vegetative state after receiving multiple rabbit punches, his opponent wasn't sued.

Same with Gerard McClellan who was left blind, deaf, and paralysed after receiving multiple rabbit punches by Nigel Benn.

It's just the rule of the game. Boxing is a dangerous sport.
