How Do I Treat/ Manage Stomach Ulcer? by Saintdan0421(m): 6:18pm On Dec 11, 2022
Hello Nairalanders, I'll be brief as possible. So I never experienced stomach ulcer till my university days. I felt it started from me skipping breakfast before going for morning 8:00am lectures. What I do then was to immediately take Viju milk, Yorgurt or boiled egg(s) to reduce the intensity of the stomach pain and temporary halt the ulcer (Surprising, I have no issues with eating Chilli pepper).

Fastforward to present. Well, so after graduation in 2018, I came home & began taking 3 square balanced meals, miraculously the ulcer pains stopped. I thought I was free from stomach ulcer permanently not until sometimes last 2 months (October 2022) when I woke up in the middle of the night to take sour Garri on an almost empty stomach. That night i felt like corrosive acids were having their parade on my guts and I experience acid reflux for a couple of days during and immediately after meals.

Since then, seems the ulcer pains have come to stay, it gets severe when I eat white rice and stew especially.

¤¤ Please Nairalanders in the house, I need advice on how to curb this.
Your suggestions are greatly welcomed.
THANKS HOUSE

Bro me and u na the same train we dey..
I will advice u go get lots of antibiotics alot.. and some yoghurt lots of them too. Avoid spicy food and also no take anything that has gas in it like soda pops like coke fanta etc forget them...
Also no drink orange juice. Get acid reducer pills and don't eat anything wain get tomatoes in it if u have to make sure it is well fried like 90%fried and avoid fatty food.
It takes like 3 weeks to 2 months to be fully recovered me too I still dey on recovery mode mine almost send me to my ancestors on Thanksgiving I think say na die I dey.. and also if u smoke stop it.. don't take ibuprofen and pain reliever drugs for a while cause it only worsen the case.. if u don't treat it properly it will result to stomach cancer or more..

Na my doctor here for America advice me so and I dey pass am off to u too for free.. also drink a lot a lot of water and make sure say na clean water with less bacteria if not na wahala
If u get money buy some probiotics join and take those pills once everyday for like 2 months even when u don't feel the pains any more still continue cause it comes and go just follow am back to back for 2 months and come thank me later.. if u play with ur ulcer na oyo for u ooo take this serious else u dey damage ur internal organs dey go.

Don’t take any antibiotics like the poster you quoted. Just avoid taking food with high acidity for now. After eating don’t drink water immediately, relax for 40 min to an hour then look for a safe space where you can jog/run for 20 min to 30min. This will help your stomach to digest the food you ate. After the jog, you can now drink 500ml of water. Don’t take antibiotics. While doing as I suggested, eat more greens for breakfast. Banana, cucumber and strawberry for breakfast. You can add one to two cup of probiotic yogurt to it. Do all these for 3 weeks to a month.

To remind you again, inactivity after eating is the major cause of ulcer. When the food you eat sits there with no help to get digested. Even eating 2hours before going to bed doesn’t help in some cases, the human body was not designed to eat food and be inactive, it needs action to get the food digested. Exercise is your best option. After the exercise, you’ll notice your start burping air and also releasing gases.

Eat plenty of proteins. Avoid too spicy food and carbonated drinks.
