ChatGPT has been on the rise ever since it's release and a lot of people are beginning to wonder if this could be the future of programming. The truth is if you are still only focused on just frontend web development, you might be less relevant or irrelevant at all in the space soon. ChatGPT can take over so many jobs, so you have to be careful with the skill you choose and seek to advance steadily. |

Don't be scared @Op, the advent of computer brought about the knowledge of doing things better and created more jobs than we could ever imagine. |

Samuell2019: How many people are even very good at frontend animations. I am not talking of css keyframes o. I am talking of advanced Interactive animations. There are some applications you would work on and you will pray to get posted to the backend cause of how hard and advanced the frontend is 3 Likes |

It won't do shit my brother. If u know how this things work... you'd know it won't do shit to frontend guys. That was how they said frontend dev was dead because you can now auto generate Code for your figma designs. Even with bunch of Wordpress Drag and drop plugins frontend Bros n sis still the chop lol. How would companies even trust the code ChatGPT comes up with? If everyone eventually depend on it then we'd all have same or nearly identical codes in all our projects which will end up a fiesta for hackers 3 Likes |

It won't be shyt. That dude that offered $1000 or so for some mathematical bulaba; you think he never tried chatgpt? heck, some people on that thread must have chatgpt'ed the hell out of his requests. we still dey here . . . |

Sleekcode: This actually, since those AI don't write those code themselves but go onto the internet to fetch or whatever they're feed. Devs will only make use of the AI just like GitHub Copilot. |

JoyousFurnitire: Some people will find it very useful tho. Like internet marketers. This solution (Ai) will save them a lot of time by helping them come up with possible unique email copies, newsletters and sequence. Most of the answers given If say 1,000,000 people ask this AI same thing will be very much identical.... Only difference will be change of words and grammar construction. |

QuoteJustOnce:I chatgpt'ed every one of his questions and got fully functional and commented code. I feel like there's a huge underestimation of this tool especially among Nigerians. Maybe it's fear idk. It's not replacing anyone just yet but it's definitely still a very big deal. In fact, when I got into AI some years ago I did not believe such a leap in chatbot capabilities was possible in such a short amount of time. What makes it even more special is that it's in everyone's hands. Deepmind is another company that's been responsible for most of the advances of the last decade, but most of their projects have been through a looking glass – kind of like a museum. In this case it's different since ChatGPT is available to the public. |

JoyousFurnitire:That's the thing! The code generation of ChatGPT and DeepMind's AlphaCode isn't a search engine. It isn't based off GitHub. There wouldn't be millions of dollars thrown into these projects if all they could do was pick code snippets off the web. We're talking about procedurally generated code to meet varying specifications. Just go online and see what people are already creating. 1 Like |

Najdorf: Then you should have given it a shot and taken the price money. What are you waiting for? Cos you're not even sure the answer is correct. It's not your forte. You see the code quite alright but it could be BS. I asked ChatGPT about an issue we were facing hoping it could provide pointers. It did provide commented code as usual but it was BS; generic code. A newbie would jump on it thinking it's the right answer. But hell no, it was not even close. Give ChatGPT a more isolated problem and it flops; at least in my case or at least for now. |

QuoteJustOnce:What do you mean it's not my forte Mathematics/Statistics is literally my field and I could verify that the solutions were correct. Of course, the OP from the other thread with the math questions isn't serious about giving out money and is only catching cruize Obviously right now it can't solve everything but a huge part of what you get is how well you engineer the prompt 2 Likes |
