Twitter user filmed, called out killer of Bolanle Raheem over extortion last year

An old tweet has emerged alerting police authorities to the nefarious activities of a team of policemen from Ajiwe Police Station, Ajah, Lagos.

The team the Twitter user complained about included ASP Ayuba Drambi who shot dead lawyer Bolanle Raheem on Christmas day.

The Twitter user, @newmedia, called on police authorities to caution the team because they were making life difficult for road users at the spot. He did a long-distance filming of the activities of the policemen.

On Feb 21, 2021, at 4:29 pm @Newmedia wrote: “@LagosPoliceng, your men of the Ajiwe police command have returned to Ajah extorting motorists and causing traffic. Below are some of their names. AYUBA yandi, Adeojo Damilola. Francis Essien and others. Kindly caution them to avoid any form of confrontation.”

See the video he attached to the tweet here.

If police authority had taken had taken a drastic action on this report by making the officers mentioned to face necessary disciplinary action, may be barrister Bolande's death could have been avoided.

Nothing like taking drastic action against indiscipline in this country. Infact, we feed it until the cancer becomes deadly and claim lives after which hypocritical authorities a.k.a chief mourners release their usual statement and the cycle continues...

Police dont take complaints against their men seriously. If they had acted on this man's complaint since last year, Gafaru and Bolanle would be alive today.
