Reasons For High Spanish Student's Visa Denial In Nigeria by oseremenifidon: 3:14pm On Jan 28, 2023
Reasons why spanish embassy Nigeria witness the highest students visa rejection 2022

After a first hand meeting with the consular general spain having been denied a visa to study in spain, i came to realize some of the mistakes a lot of people make when applying for a spanish student visa and would share in just a jiffy just stick till the end if you curious to changing a visa rejection to an acceptance.

But first!! Obtaining a student visa to study in Spain can be a complex process, but it is an important step for international students looking to further their education in this beautiful country. However, there are a number of reasons why a student visa application may be denied.

Year 2021 & 2022 witnessed the highest spanish students visa rejection in Nigeria and the reasons are enumerated below

Inadequate financial means: The Spanish government requires that student visa applicants have enough financial resources to cover their expenses during their stay in Spain. This includes tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs. If the applicant cannot provide proof of sufficient funds, the visa may be denied.

Use of visa agents: The consular general of spain Nigeria frowns on the use of agents for students visa application and this is due to high rate of falsified documents by some of these agents. It was noticed in the visa department's and transmitted to the consular that some of these agent's fake bank statements, school fees receipt and visa letters. So always try to do the process yourself and seek assistance from your school or pay for bit services if necessary(never use agents for the entire)

Lodging huge amount as proof of funds: This is another main issue as to why visa denial is high in spain people just put huge sum of money for the purpose of visa and the consulate is aware. What they actually want to see is inflow and outflow of income for the past 6 months. So if you do huge transactions, you should show how money enters and leave your account or better still use a business account statement & support with your personal bank statements. If you dont have a business or personal statement with huge transactions, you can use a sponsor account but NOTE: your sponsor account must be a family member and must also show he/she has built its account over a period of time.

Show Telex as proof of payments: This is not part of the visa requirements but because of bad image of some Nigerians who fake school fees receipt the consulate would want you to proof beyond reasonable doubt that you have paid your tuition and i advice you pay atleast 70% to stand a higher chance. Spanish embassy loves documents/papers so you should give them more than less to justify your clear intention.

Lack of proof of enrollment: The Spanish government requires that student visa applicants provide proof of enrollment in a Spanish educational institution. This includes a letter of acceptance from the school or university. If the applicant cannot provide this documentation, the visa may be denied.

Incomplete or inaccurate information: Providing false or misleading information on a visa application can result in a denial. It's important to ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete.

Background check or security clearance: The Spanish government conducts background checks and security clearance on visa applicants. If the applicant has a criminal record or a history of immigration violations, the visa may be denied.

Criminal record or previous immigration violations: Having a criminal record or previous immigration violations can make an applicant ineligible for a student visa.

Failure to provide a valid passport or other required documents: A valid passport is required for all visa applicants, along with other required documents. If the applicant cannot provide these documents, the visa may be denied.

Failure to attend the visa interview or provide requested additional information: If the visa applicant does not attend the scheduled visa interview or provide any additional information requested by the consular officer, the visa may be denied.

It's important to carefully review the visa requirements and gather all necessary documents before applying to increase the chances of visa approval.
