UNDERSTANDING WHAT FAITH IS. Part 62

Hebrews 11:1, 6 (KJV) "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.....But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

62. The second aspect of faith is the evidence. What is the evidence of faith? The bible says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Based on this scriptural definition of faith, the evidence is the proof that the substance you are hoping for is already yours even though you have yet seen the manifestation. The evidence of faith is not based on what God wants to do or willing to do or is able to do but on what God has already done for you in Christ Jesus. The evidence of faith are not the promises of God to us but the blessings of God given to us already in Christ Jesus. The difference between promise and blessings is that a promise tells you what God is willing and able to do for you or what God wants to do for you. But a blessing is what He has already done for you that He is waiting for you to receive. Or what He has already given to you in Christ Jesus that He is waiting for you to take or receive.

For example Ephesians 1:3-9 (KJV) "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:" Notice that in all these scriptures none is a promise of what God wants to do or is going to do for us but what He had already done and made available in Christ Jesus for us to receive by faith. Unlike the substance the evidence of faith are always in past tense or present continuous, meaning they are already done and given to you even though you are yet to see it physically or receive it physically.

For example when it comes to healing the evidence is the word of God that tells you that the healing you are looking for is already yours even though you have not seen it yet manifested. Such scriptures include for healing Psalms 107:20 (KJV) "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." 1Peter 2:24 (KJV) "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." Matthew 8:17 (KJV) "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses."

But a scripture like the healing of the leper in Mark 1:40-42 (KJV) "And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed." Or the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34 or the healing of the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-9 are not evidence but substance to give us hope that God heals. Grace be with you. John 9:1-7; 11:1-45; Mark 10:42-56; 2Corinthians 1:20; 5:7; 1Corinthians 3:21-23; Colossians 2:9-10; 3:1-4; 1John 5:4;

If you need healing the bible says in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus Himself took all our sicknesses and diseases. Therefore you can receive your healing now by faith in the name of Jesus. Just lay your hand on the affected area of your body and say this prayer. Father God in the name of Jesus I believe that Jesus died for my healing. I believe He took all my sickness and diseases on the cross. If He took them, then I cannot have them. Therefore I resist and I reject every sickness in my body and I confess Jesus today as my healer and I receive my healing now. Thank you Jesus that I am healed. 1Peter 2:24; Ps 107:20.
Now begin to do what you couldn't do before because of the sickness. You are healed in Jesus name.

Heaven is real, Hell is real. Jesus is coming very soon. Judgement Day is coming. But you can become a born again child of God today. The bible says If you shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him from the dead, you shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:9-10; John 1:12.

Say this prayer: Father God have mercy on me. I come to you today in the name of Jesus. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe that He died for me. I believe that you raised Him from the dead for my salvation. I accept Jesus in my heart today and I confess Him today as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you Father that today I am saved In Jesus name.

If you prayed the prayer of Salvation, pls go to a nearby bible believing Church in your area, so you can grow in the grace of our Lord Jesus. Grace be with you. To Jesus be all the glory.
