It's obvious that there is a crack in the APC. That's the only reason APC governors could counter the directives of the president.
Another thing to deduce from this whole saga is that the president is actually weaker than people thought he was among the political space of the country as it stands now. That's the only logical reason why governors in his own party will openly challenge his authority.

However, I think this whole drama will make it even more easier for a free and fair election because the president will massively deploy security agents to these governors state to ensure that they are clipped. People who come to polling units to buy votes will be swiftly arrested in these states. The president will definitely want to use them to set an example. No matter how powerful they think they are, they don't control the army or the police. As a matter of fact, the president will definitely transfer officers under their influence out from their state and bring in new persons to ensure the proper maltreatment of El-rufai and co.


At least for the first time we the citizens are solidly behind Buhari.
