I’m trying to find a place in Lagos to rent an apartment and based on online research i think satellite town is kind of affordable.

But anyone has an idea about security, electricity, water, flood (when rain falls) etc in satellite town.

Also is it also good for someone working on the island - ease of going to and fro from satellite town to the island for work.

Recent conversation with some guys that lived in satellite says its terrible in terms of light, water and road.

Do you finds before you regret it.

Forget satelite town No light, no clean water, no good road access infact all this big petrol tankers will just broke everywhere causing serious hold up, I will advice u go to the other side of Abule Ado, within Ado soba or Omonile that side its very nice with almost 24hrs electricity

It's very far....to and fro...will cost u nothing less than 3 - 3.5k daily

Baba , i live in Satellite town and personally, i categorically will tell you, it is the worst place to live.
I dont know what my people saw here and insisted we live here, To GOD if you do not have a place to live , pack go Cotonou. This place no be place.

NEPA takes light here for over 96 - 102 sometimes between 103 - 120 hours , only for them to bring it for 45 mins, and Lo, Light is gone for another 103+ hours again. If you no get gen, baba install inverter or forget am.
ATMS , Banks , They do not even hold cash for Emergencies, You are on your own if you happen to run into medical Emergencies here. Personally I wonder what they do. Una day complain Cashless policy, I no even move because the stupid area I live in made me prepare for Buhari and Emefiele. I am used to it now, and its not like anything happened.

Going to security, Phew. If not GOD, no reason am, if no be GOD i know how many times we happen to see Corpses , or waking up to corpses especially in that part of Abule Ado, then approaching satellite, Nothing like security , Nothing nothing.
Then Flood, brother, If heavy rain fall here , na to buy canoe be next line of Plan. Otherwise , You will swim to the office , and swim back home, na so so Swimming we day do for rainy season here. Just the road they building from Alakija down to under bridge (Close to Trade fair).That road has been like that for several years. Na just as them over yab this Useless APC them uselessness come manage say make them try useless fix am. Useless people.

Then road, woman way get belle waka anyhow, brother she go born am. If care no day taken, na miscarriage. The road is as useless as the Local government chairman. Nothing works here in Satellite town, na very useless life most of these animals way day claim top shots day live here. I just regret coming home, and coming to Satellite Town. You had a look at Navy town? Where Federal Government get their establishment? As Navy people? Make i no vex too much. I am considering moving to Amuwo Odofin Estate or Some place around Ikeja. My Advice is, go some place else.

If you are going to work on the island, rent a house in surulere. It's at the middle of Lagos and easiest connect to the island.

If there is cash released everywhere, I need to go to places like inner Festac to look for money. Most times, its not as simple as it seems. Place is utter mess, i got to be honest with u. I regret coming back to Nigeria and living here.

No one is making ridicule of anyone. I never tagged you.i don't know where you are getting your ideas from. I answered the poster. Op asked for an opinion about satellite town. I gave mine, I also added that I wonder the kind of human beings that live there.. because I can't imagine people waking up to and fro to that kind of environment daily.
There's no serious footprint of government intervention there.
I have been there once, and it was not a good experience. There's nothing that will ever make me go to satellite town again.
