Don't try rats in Edo State, we set traps for them and they will eat the bait and walk away without getting trapped.
One day we ran out of fish ๐ŸŸ bait and decided to fool them by using a picture of dry fish, but the time we woke to check the trap we saw the picture of a rat ๐Ÿ€ on the trap, na the next day we park comot for that 'winch' compound

My daughter fried more than 20 pieces of huge chunks of meat for me and left it overnight in the kitchen to cool down but the next morning, not single piece was seen.
The rats were not seen either until the third day.

I hate rats.

Exactly the same way I hate BATS.

But I don't hate pussy cats.

Just because of the pussy in their name.

๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚This is hilarious, thank you.

quote author=johnjay4u2u post=121632328]There's always 2 sides to a story.
However, this short one is between the human and animal kingdom.
What you are about to read is the side of the homo sapien (me). A Dr Dolittle will come in handy to say the side of the rat.

I have had the history of being a tormentor to the rat kingdom everywhere my parents relocated to.
I have a feeling they call a family meeting because of my brutality to their brothers, sisters, children and parents.
I have killed several rats and lost count.
From catching them alive and injecting them with kerosene, water, garri water etc till they die to crushing them into pieces with instruments.
I did them strong things. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This notable story is about the time I repented from killing rats; that was during my early undergrad days.
I suspect watching National Geographic station was contributory.
I then had a rat that sneaked into my room.
I decided to let it be. It became so comfortable that it sneaks out to watch TV whenever I put it on. Only runs away when I decide to standup (for fear of me trying to kill it, I guess).

I literally started feeding it when I am eating by throwing pieces of fish or meat towards where it stays. Anyway, I ensured it was only one (before rat go start kingdom for my self-contained apartment).
This rat gradually became so comfortable that the mumu thing will want to welcome my visitors (sneaks out to check who I am talking with) ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm not a man of love so didn't name it before I go loose focus.

To be continued

I don't have many encounter with rats, except during my NYSC service in Katsina state, my room then was always under visitation by this bandit of a rat, the thing never let me sleep in peace, all the rice and beans in my room were decimated, but thank God e never enter where my documents are, but my foods are never safe with this terror rat.

Na so I jejely by one fried fish, remove it's inside, rub am with rat poison, place am in one strategic position outside my room.

The rest is history, it's on the third day I saw the crazy idiot's remain in one side of our compound.
If you have any nasty experience with rats you can also share it.

Sprinkle concentrated DETTOL all over the area and they will flee.

You also cut a tomato in half pour a little DETTOL in it and cover it with geisha sauce mixed with sugar. The moment some Dettol touches the mouth they will die

Those things that wants to rule over the world have feasted on my soles in the past...

My worst experience was chasing one to ita limit - it climbed the window with no where else to go and like Jet Li jumped towards. Now, the hunter was running away from the small devil grin

Actually, I have used this before. I need a kinda permanent solution or something that can keep them away for a very long time.

For permanent solution, visit those people selling chemicals, get fresh rat poison powder like 4-5 sachets (not the one they have mixed with food), mix all the power with stew oil, then get indomie seasoning (you'll need only the Maggi only, not the pepper. The secret is to make sure the rat won't be able to perceive the rat poison in the food, so while mixing, smell the mix to check if the poison odor is still present, if present add more seasoning and a little stew till you can't smell it again, now use the mix in any edible of your choice, bread, indomie and left over eba works magic, cut the edibles to thumb size so they can easily carry and share to their family members.

I battled with those stubborn creatures during my university days, they ate my provisions, destroyed my carton of indomie and even drank my sachet pure water. There was a day my babe visited me, so she sat down in my toilet to pee, a small rat that fell inside the toilet splashed water on her buttocks, as it tried to come out, the girl screamed and ran out of the toilet๐Ÿ˜‚ and I rushed inside the toilet , and then used my mop stick to crush the m*therfucker, and the flushed it down the toilet.

I hate those things.๐Ÿคฎ

Mehn those creatures are rugged, foodstuffs ain't safe. Sometimes the brave amongst them take a stroll while we have visitors. The cultists among them won't flinch even when you try to chase them away. The ones with balls eat at your feet.

I may buy a snake in future so I can feed it live rats. Every African has had an encounter with them. The worst was when they killed my day old poults. Tear full my eyes that night.
