The tagline of this post should be

Why I Want To Be A Banker And Not Only Rely On Blogging

But Oh we'll...
I'll keep the conversation going nonetheless...

First of all...

I don't think blogging will give me the adequate exposure I need in my day-to-day life in Nigeria or any country I find myself. To me, blogging is a career path that could be too wide or too narrow, which aren't necessarily positive attributes.
Blogging about many things / Multi-niche blogging can make you overexposed with too many interests, making your mind puzzled and ultimately indifferent.

A "Limited Scope Kind Of Blogging", on the other hand, could make your knowledge of things limited as the concept suggests. Additionally, not every piece of knowledge is necessarily crucial, especially in a country like Nigeria, with pressing issues that need resolving before venturing into others.

I believe being outside in a workplace with people will make me current with the issues happening in my immediate environment and society as a whole. I can liken this advantage to working in a news firm.

Growing up and watching movies, I've always admired the busyness of office buildings and the staff within. I didn't mind that these buildings were news companies, banks, or law firms. I admired the activeness of everyone, the cool environment, the bubbly characters, the bright workspaces, and more importantly, the togetherness, even if it were forced at first – there was always going to be the possibility of outings, dinners, and group trips which I admired.

However, I've been worried about the "availability for God part". I've been concerned about how increasingly possible it is to become absent from church activities/ God's work because of a banking job.

I also believe that in a work environment like the bank, employees may qualify for access to free wifi and other company resources/ benefits which could encourage efficiency in blogging or other online gigs for bankers who blog or run other online jobs as side hustles. That's why it's not a wonder to see successful pioneers in the online/ web business niches that boast of using their bank jobs as a cover to enhance their productivity and make a big name.

In whichever case, banking is a good place to start. Nevertheless, I'm more worried about reading for tests, doing tests, and qualifying for the position. I need help. I remember way back as a secondary student, I was trying to run away from maths, but managed to pass it for my WAEC and NECO after diehard coaching.

Any thoughts? Especially from those who can relate?
