The Texas Board of Nursing has charged 75 nurses with falsifying certificates, with 43 of them being of Nigerian origin.

The charges were filed as part of an investigation known as “Operation Nightingale,” which aimed to expose nurses with fraudulent certificates.

According to authorities, investigations are ongoing, and the accused are allowed to continue practicing their nursing careers until investigations are complete.

Formal charges are not a final disciplinary action, and a nurse is permitted to work while formal charges are pending.
