He was born in 1931 and passed away on October 31, 1992. In Nigeria, you can't speak about strength/manpower without mentioning Nwozuzu Nwachukwu, better known as "Killwee," Power Mike Okpara, and Ben Lion-Heart. These men are real icons of strength and wrestling in Nigeria and Igboland.

For more than two decades, "Killi-We" Nwachukwu was hailed as a self-made Nigerian "superman," lifting buses, allowing vehicles to roll over his body, and enduring the crushing weight of cement blocks on his head.

Nwozuzu Nwachukwu, also known as Superman, is a remarkable character. According to legend, he acquired the nickname Killwee following a confrontation with a stubborn customer who refused to pay him for a truckload of goods he delivered from the market to the customer's house.

In those days, when lorries and delivery trucks were few and expensive to hire, he used to push a two-wheeled wooden truck to transport goods for people.

After dropping off the goods, the man refused to pay what Nwachukwu demanded, claiming it was too expensive, but when he tried to leave, Nwachukwu grabbed him by the hand and yelled at him to pay.

The man's wife rushed into the house and came out with a wooden pestle to protect her husband; Nwachukwu seized it from her, lifted the lady up, and nailed her to top of her husband on the ground. A fight ensued, and he lifted, hammered, and stuck the man to the ground.

Killi we o! Nwachukwu, You should Killi we o! she cried out "indicating that Nwachukwu, murder us! That's how he got his name; in the 1980s, many people of his generation held Killiwe Nwachukwu in great regard for his strength.

This is what some folks have to say about him: He was real. He visited our school in the 1980s, and we spent 50 Kobo to see him. He toyed with a 504 Peugeot SR while carrying ten bags of cement on his stomach and holding a rope in his mouth.

According to rumor, after he passed away and his body was placed in the Aladinma mortuary, he would take all the other corpses in the mortuary by night and strangle himself on them. He kept doing this until the mortuary rejected his corpse . He was the serious deal.
