On the 26th of September, 1992, at about 5:27 pm, a fully-loaded aircraft took off from runway 19 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The aircraft was a Nigerian Air Force C-130H Hercules military transport aircraft designed and built by Lockheed.

The pilot, 40-year-old Wing Commander Justus Pere-Owei Alaboson, and his copilot, Wing Commander Mamadi, had their eyes set on their destination, the city of Kaduna, in Northern Nigeria.

Many of his passengers were middle-ranking army, navy and air force officers attending a nine-month senior division course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State.

I still remember this unfortunate crashed claimed the lives of one Army Major, and two other persons close to me. May their soul rest in peace.IBB never allow this outcome of this investigation to be made public.So sad and unfortunate crash. The worst so far.

Hard to substantiate the IBB controversy theory. The plane was obviously not in good shape and overloaded.
