Israel Adesanya former UFC MW champ comes into this fight as the challenger, and Pereira his personal boogeyman and nemesis comes in as the reigning UFC heavyweight champ.

This marks the fourth time these gladiators will clash. They had fought twice in Glory kickboxing, with Pereira emerging victorious on both occasions. Israel left Glory and forayed into MMA and the UFC clearing the MW division to emerge the undisputed champ. It didn't take too long before boogeyman Pereira trailed him to the UFC and in November 2022 they clashed a third time, this time in the octagon, and once again Pereira came out victorious, claiming the UFC MW title.

Come Saturday/Sunday 4am, they will meet for the fourth time in a rematch for the title.

My prediction: Izzy will come out with his full arsenal. We will see the hungry Izzy of old that cleared the division. He will be gunning for a lot of takedowns, he will give it all he's got. It will truly be an explosive fight, but I'm 70% confident Pereira will still emerge victorious regardless.
