Can you try alternating soda with smoothies instead. Just give it a try! I just checked those pictures and they are scary 😯

Oga! Go see your doctor not quack doctors! You're only addicted to caffeine not Coke! Caffeine which is bad and dangerous for your system!
Re: Addicted To Coca-Cola by DeLaRue: 6:06pm On Apr 14, 2023
The blood flow problem is probably the result of a combination of high sugar intake plus calcification of the arteries due to prolonged periods of inactivity.

If you sit on your work desk for several hours daily (which most of us do) without taking breaks to walk, then spend a few hours in the car in traffic, and more hours on a sofa when you get home, and several ours sleeping, that's nearly 24hours of little to no physical activity. And you repeat this at 5 days a week, with not much improvement even at weekends, this can result in gradual calcification of the arteries resulting in some of the symptoms you're are experiencing.

You see, when we are inactive for so long, too much calcium is retained in the blood. Over time, the calcium starts calcifying (hardening) and collecting on the walls of the arteries and start causing a blockage. As the blockage increases, the arteries start narrowing thus reducing the flow of blood to the rest of the body. When body parts don't receive the amount of blood they need, they start dying. Notice how people with complicated diabetes and heart issues often end up having body parts, usually their limbs (legs) amputated. That's because, the legs are the furthest distance from the heart (where blood is pumped), so if there is a blockage of the arteries, legs are likely to be amongst the first parts of the body to be affected.

My suggestions:

1. Quit drinking coke...now. And other sugars

2. Every 2hrs, take a break from your work dest and take a walk from 20 mins or so. If you work in a multi storey building, walk up and down a few floor stairs for about 10mins.

3. Incorporate more physical activities into your lifestyle. Brisk walking or cycling etc

4. Consider using vitamin K2 daily. Vitamin k2 helps to push calcium from the blood into joints and bones and thus away from your arteries.

5. Improve your diet. In the immediate term, consider increasing your intake of high potassium foods. Check Google for details. Potassium helps to keep the walls of blood vessels more elastic, thus potentially enabling more flow where there is some calcification.

You are not alone in this by the way. The so called modern lifestyle that most of us live today is going to have serious consequences in the future.

But, there is a lot we can do individually to make some changes and take back control of our health.

Goodluck man.

My works require a lot of creative thinking, but for some reason, complex thoughts hurt my heads so much that by the end of the day, I am more tired than a person hewing trees in the bush.

So, about two years ago, I discovered that if I drink coke, my head does not hurt at all.

I believe my brain was able to use the "Sugar" in coke more effectively than the ones processed by my body from carbohydrates.

So, I limit my consumption of Carbs and eats more junks and cokes.

It really helped me since I can work tirelessly for long hours without my brain tiring out. But then, some of my body sensors stop working correctly.

I won't know when I am thirsty or hungry. Infact, I struggle to eat many times since I rarely have appetite for food ---I just drink sugary stuff to regain my energy.

But I have been noticing some tingling in my legs and can sometimes get worse during sleep (I can wake up in the middle of the night to see that my leg is dead)

Unknown to me, Coke produces cholesterols , and since I am an indoor person that rarely goes out or exercise, the cholesterols are clogging my veins and preventing proper flow of blood.

Although, coke produces less than other harmful junks I eat----Yogurt, buscuits, sweets, licking pure sugar, etc.

I do not mind the consumption of these junks because my blood sugar level is Ok, and I believe my brain needs them.

But about five days ago, I did some jump and hit my big toe on the floor, causing some internal sprain.

Usually, the sprain should go early, but I was surprised to wake up the third day to some excruciating pain. This mean the wound is not healing at all, and as far as I can remember, I experience some tingling in my leg during the night. So, it is likely that blood is not flowing properly to my legs again, and wound cannot heal without good supply of blood.

I decided to massage the leg, and in the process, I mistakeinly touch the toe next to my big toe (I can't recollect the name of this toe as the moment, so just take it as "the next big toe"wink

My "next big toe" was soooo painful to touch, and I was surprised because I never felt any pain from that area.

When I inspect it properly, I discovered my "next big toe" is dying.

There is something called Gangrene, it is the death of body tissue when blood stops flowing to that area, and in severe cases, the body area will need to be amputated.

My "next big toe" has started dying due to lack of proper blood flow to it.

Luckily for me, no other toe is affected.

I did some research and discover that bad cholesterols can block blood vessels, and since I am an heavy "Sugar" eater, I am likely surffering from that.

I decided I won't take sugar again.

I massaged my toe to life, and decided to eat healthy yesterday. I went out during the day to eat at a restaurant, and cooked at night (unlike me)

That single changed in life style really cause some changes in my body. Yesterday night, I feel many veins in my body coming to life, especially in my leg region. And by this morning, my "next big toe" is no longer grayish in color. It is not as painful to touch as it was either.

Encouraged by the improvements, I decided not to take any form of sugar again.

But there is a problem----my brain.

Without Sugar, my brain was so slow and thinking was sooo painful. I struggled to complete my task yesterday, and I have been avoiding work since morning (today) because I was just feeling pains in my head.

I don't understand it. It seems my body got issue with carbs cause even if I eat excess of it, I may feel sick. I am also slim because my body don't retain fat or carbs.

I have been struggling since morning, trying to adjust to a change in diet. But since I have works to do, I have no choice but to get another bottle of Coke.

Expectedly, my brain becomes really cool a few seconds after taking the coke.

Although, I have resolved not to take any other type of drinks or junk, to eat properly, and take Coke only "one day on, one day off." I honestly want to do without every form of sugar.

I'm afraid I'm addicted to coke, and I don't know how to overcome it.

Below is a picture of how Gangrene looks, so it's something scary.

Hmm...your doctors's diagnosis seem rather basic.

I wouldn't stop here if I was you.

I would start making serious lifestyle and dietary changes asap and may be even see a cardiologist.

I repeat, blood flow problems often have their roots in the heart.

All Enugu people and Pesin... Pepsi company should use Enugu State to do their advert next time cuz those people live on Pepsi. From working site, to restaurants, even for field of soccer.

Coca cola isn't as popular as Pepsi in Enugu State. It has overtaken Enugu soft drink market by a large margin

I remove cap for them jare 🙌

You're more likely to loose your leg VERY SOON if you don't advice yourself to stay away from coke and other refined sugars NO MATTER WHAT.

If you resolve to taking coffee as an alternative addiction also note that it contains thesame caffeine as coke which may likely cause further deterioration in your health down the line.

The best alternative is taking natural sugar contained in fruits like bananas, pineapples, carrots, cabbage.... They contain sugar with low glycemic index(which is healthy for consumption), vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to help fight against cholesterol deposits in your body.

Sugar is addictive
Caffeine in the coke is addictive

That's why you are hooked on it.

Too much of everything is bad...
Junk food is bad for health. No brainer, no argument about it irrespective of any excuse or sentiment you may tender...

You are setting up your body and cells for diabetes and inflammation.... Inflammation at the cellular level is dangerous...

Can you start weaning yourself off coke and sugar?
Start gradually by reducing the number per day, then start doing alternate days, then start skipping days till you can go for a week without coke... Then you do a 21-day challenge...

Eat proper meal... Don't skip breakfast as well...

Whatever you do, do not overdo it....

The honest truth is that diabetes is a hair breath away. Very soon your pancreas will be pouring sugar into your blood stream uncontrollably. If you have a slight injury, that's it ,within one week your body part will be amputated, it can knock you blindness or even mental disorder. Your are playing with fire. Prevention is far better than cure. My wife's friend used to drink 7up like you do against our warnings. Then it came, from blindness to mental case and by the time she passed on at the age of 40, she looked like 90yrs old woman and it drain all their resources. Kindly stop the addiction by all means as a stitch in time saves nine.

You sugar levels could still be normal while the body is dying.

Go and do insulin test.
