In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." The Spirit immediately drove him out into the wilderness. And he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. And he was with the wild animals, and the angels were ministering to him. Luke 1: 9-13

Jesus baptism experience must have been an exhilarating experience to him but what happened next will make a mortal man question if he actually heard God speak "or was it my imagination?".

God spoke straight from heaven at river Jordan but afterwards, wilderness, satan and wild animals took over. Thank God for the angels.

The angels here means that even on that journey of trials, there will be rays of light. times of refreshing so you won't be totally discouraged.

If you are on that kind of journey currently, if know the voice of your shepherd, please press on. There are days when you will ask The Father... "is this part of the journey or I've digressed?" But, still press on.

This message is for those who recognize the voice of their shepherd and who heard Him clearly. Not those who were told by someone that "God said".

Don't get me wrong, God can send someone to give you a message but the burden is on you to meet YOUR FATHER to confirm what He said. This confirmation keeps you standing till the end.

Your time might be 40days, 400 days, years, decades. No matter how long, you will overcome and come back rejoicing.

God never intended speaking to all humans, he made Adam the first man so that through Adam all humans could be informed regarding what God says about right and wrong towards our fellow man. But Adam rebelled against God so after dismissing him God stopped talking to Adam. That was how Adam lost the privilege of being the mediator between God and his children. That doesn't stop God from communicating with obedient descendants of Adam so each time God speaks to His people through prophets {Hebrews 1:1} until Jesus came and after Jesus no prophet in Israel heard anything from God again only Jesus' disciples were getting divine guidance and it's coming through Jesus to them! Matthew 18:20 compare to John 14:6

Jesus kept speaking to his disciples until the time he revealed what will happen after the death of his twelve apostles to John the apostle! Revelations 1:1

In concluding that book Jesus said:

“I am bearing witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the trees of life and out of the holy city, things that are written about in this scroll" Revelations 22:18-19

This means whatever mankind needs to know about our future has been completely revealed in this book and sealed. So there won't be anything like direct communication between man and God again if anyone wants to hear God let him read his Bible carefully, study it diligently, meditate on it thoroughly and pray fervently to God for understanding such a person will gain the accurate knowledge of God {Proverbs 2:1-5} anyone hearing voices today from the spirit realms is hearing demons not God or Jesus!
