the whole of iboland is same landmass with Oyo state
Development or having infrastructures is not by landmass. Britain has less landmass but very much developed than Nigeria.
Fortunately,Ibadan has more development, modern buildings, infrastructures, malls, roads etc than Igboland.
Ibadan is the only city in Nigeria that has more than 10 GRAs.

How many Industries, factories, multinationals etc are in Owerri?

How many world class health care centers, hospitals etc are in Owerri?

How many highbrow areas, estates etc are in Owerri? grin

How many malls, supermarkets, grocery stores etc are in Owerri?

How many recreational centers, stadiums, golf courses, polo clubs, cinemas etc are in Owerri? grin

Ikeja comprises of Allen, Opebi, Omole, Ojodu, Maryland, GRA, Anthony, Onigbongbo, Alausa, Magodo, Ogba, Agidingbi, Oregun etc.

North Central.
Lafia is terrible for a capital city.
Minna is not that good too.
Forget lokoja the aura and atmosphere alone oozes of nonsense.

North west
Gusau the name suggest its gutter.
Sokoto that one is just there.

North East
Except for maiduguri and gombe the rest are rubbish.

South South
Yenagoa is over rated.
Benin too many old buildings.

South East.
Umuahia is rubbish.
Abakaliki is picking up compared to the last time I was there.
Awka could still do better.
Owerri is not that bad.

I have been to all the states in Nigeria so I am talking from experience.
When was the last time you visited Adamawa state?

kaduna is a very beautiful city. Hausa fulani people just spoil kaduna city with their violence. Kaduna south (kakuri, barnawa, sabo etc) are still very bubbling parts of kaduna city till date because it is the part occupied by the Christians. Kafanchan, a town in southern Kaduna is a wonder to behold.

Broveens42:

That's one thing with you Africans, after I highlighted factual/verifiable points why owerri is miles ahead in development, you now Wana join issues with entire imo..lol but bad news for you... You still can't beat the level of developments in these areas in imo state:

Mgbirichi, umuagwo, izombe, oguta, obowo, 7 and half, Amaigbo (home town of king Jaja), Nkwere, isinweke, umuoguma, owaala, Arondizogu, egbu, okigwe town, okwele,
there's this LGA that's close to Amaraku, like an alternative route to Amuzari, that place is built with sophistication.

Boy!!!, you need to travel!

You named areas in Imo state where people built their private mansions but no government development institutions and infrastructures like, good roads and drainages, no public transport, no parks and gardens, don't talk about public water supply systems, in fact, nothing of IMSG or federal governnent located to keep young and financially buoyant people to live a modern life in those areas. Every public institution and development infrastrucuure is located in your Owerri hometown area. You are happy.
People from those areas you mentioned are condemned for life to build and maintain a 2nd living house in Owerri area, in addition to the mansion they built in these their native areas you mentioned in Imo state.

You earlier mentioned that Owerri is the place in Imo state which has produced no governor for Imo state, yet Owerri is developing like Abuja.
Rightly, you didn't mention Orlu as one of the developing areas in Imo state. But Orlu senatorial district has produced most of the governors of Imo state. You didn't know that you aligned with my assertion about two governors of Imo state from Orlu senatorial district whose bile against one politician from Orlu LGA they see as political enemy, and to punish their perceived political enemy in the city is the reason the two governors deliberately arrested development in the once 2nd economic hub of Imo state.
You love the trend; you love the trend in Imo state
where everything is about Owerri; unarguably. But you don't see the fact that the economy of Imo state is also narrowed down through arrested development in the once 2nd economic hub of the state where young and monied residents also lived before 2020; as well as through denial of government institutions and nfrastrucuures in the other areas of Imo state you mentioned as developing because there, you see private premises of indigenes of those areas; most of the premises uninhabited except on festivity periods.
Bottomline: Owerri people must not continue to drag government institutions of development in Imo state to only Owerri for location. Such primitive greed and insensitivity by Owerri people must stop.
