Considering the current situation in Nigeria, your point might be invalid, the fact that some other companies are doing what's wrong shouldn't make it a norms...


UAC ain't a small company and will never pay it's worker a 40k salary.. it's you the outsourcing company that reduce the actual pay from the company to a non feasible amount (SOL, Wajfort etc). As at 2012 you guys pay casual workers 16,500 excluding overtime, but was later realise that the company pays the outsourcing company closed to 50-60k for each staff, come on, isn't that too cruel considering the difference? It was when the south African company (Tiger brand) bought some shares and force you guys to review worker's salary before you made an increments to 20k then....


What I'm saying in essence is, you people shouldn't make a bad practice a norms just because others are doing it... No matter the level of people you recruit, even if it's primary school graduate, surviving with that amount isn't possible in this current Nigeria, will the amount of soap be sold differently to a young boy just because he is a jssce/ssce pupil?

Let me burst your bubble, those we both join the company back in 2011/12 are now staffs, which technically means their pay are now higher, but most of them still complain of poor standard of living despite working more than 10 years, some of them in my DM with disturbing messages... If this sets of people can be like this, how much more of the new ones earning 40k or less? Not offence meant please....

Bros, appreciate the fact that they are taking 150 people of the labour market.

Indeed, the morny appears small to some of us depending on our antecedence but trust me this is a whole lot for some people and they will manage the money so well while waiting for something better to pop up.

Meanwhile understand that it isn't easy for the company....they are probably new, unprofitable and struggling.

As a matter of fact they may actually borrow to pay salaries most months.

Let's appreciate the little we get while expecting greater strides in our economy.
