What are you saying? Many Civil Servants I know got access to loans and start up a small scale business! Some even bought keke and shuttle bus as a side hustle while paying back the loans from their salary monthly which they could complete paying in 3-5 years

So what are you saying?

Some can even execute one contract that can make them become car owners!

that means they are making more than 30k and collecting free money as they focus on their business instead of their primary assignment

Una de try.
After Gbajamila the Muslim.
Next:
SGF - Muslim.
CofDS - Muslim.
CofAS - Muslim.
Etc.
During campaing period, they told their Chrislam people in the SW that Tinubu's wife is a Christian Pastor, so who would expect a president Tinubu to to be biased against non Muslims in Nigeria?

Oga you have no reasoning acumen. Your brains should tell you implications of fuel hike is usually felt most on Transportations and cost of food stuffs. Is it only private vehicles that make use PMS? Oponu
are they paying 600 for transport?

Well I have no problem with fuel subsidy. Tinubu should likewise increase minimum wage in the country.

It's evil for someone earning N30,000 to buy a litre of fuel for N600 except of course, Nigeria has become a nation for the elites.
be ready for retrenchment

Why will you say so? Even if they do not deserve to have a car, they need fuel to power their generators....

And if they were spending N500 on transport fare in a day, it will increase to N800 or even N1000.

Good governance should affect the common man and not the elites! The poor and average constitutes majority of population in the country.
why are you trying so hard to be sensible to someone who could utterly such nonsense. He is only out to do one job which is to defend mediocrity!

Person wey dey earn 30k in a month no need generator

See eh, subsidy is gone for good

Person wey dey earn 30k and get car and generator should sell them or stop using them. So he or she will have enough money to spend on transport fare
My brother, transport fare is higher now, it will consume almost all the salary. Price of goods in the market will increase which means it will be hard for someone earning 30k to survive. There should be increase in minimum wage. You might not understand this things because maybe you are earning in good digits

If you cannot afford food you better stop buying it and start producing it instead of pretending to be employed

When Government wants to enact policies, they should always consider the poor! This is the basis for my argument....

Why
What will happen if they don't
What has ever happened?
Sentiment will kill you

If Tinubu is removing fuel subsidy knowing fully well prices of transportation fare and food prices will increase, he should also consider increasing minimum wage and finding means to make life bearable for the poor

This is just based on civil servants earning the lowest wages. We haven't even talked about the unemployed and artisans who barely eat three times a day.
has their productivity increased?
So we should just be dashing money to useless ppl because they are civil servants(2% of population)?
What about those who are not civil servants

I am not in support of increment of salary for civil servant at this critical time because if they increase it, inflation will definitely increase.. If we can all cut our coat according to our size we will surely scape through.
Government also should divert the fund meant for the subsidy to our transportation system, our power supply should be steady, encourage farmers by given them loan, grant etc.. Aswear if they can work on that Nigeria will surely be great
Without commensurate increment in salaries and wages to ameliorate the multiplier effects of this subsidy removal, cutting of coats according to size will not be enough, remember that we have already cut our coats according to size in the previous regime to recently transitioned, now do you still expect this coat to be cut further until the children of the masses turn to kwashiorkor? angry

Even without salary increment prices of goods and services have started flying up.

What you should know is that with or without the salary increment, subsidy removal will inevitably lead to inflation of prices of goods and services.

Money is like water in the river, water in the river flows around!

Increase in the salary of government workers will enable them to continue to spend money on goods and services (like buying food stuff from market women or taking a bus ride when going to work);and this is how it gets to those who are not employed by government.
