First an Increase in Minimum wage for Workers, then ensuring 94% stable power supply would have been good, then ensure good road transport network where commuters can have easy access to transport at fair rates, would have been better off, should they then decide to do Fuel subsidy, by then, you have solved three quarters of the citizens problems. Every Nigerian is paying everything by themselves as it stands, question is , why are we paying taxes and the need for Tax Clearance, when you cannot enjoy basic things as amenities. Tinubus Policies will give birth to a new style of Embezzlement.

What they succeeded in doing now, is bringing EndSARS part 2 to Nigeria.

Yoruba "Ronus" will not see it like this, Sense no day their head before. Shay na Peter Obi do this one?

I ask again, what will a common Nigerian benefit from the federal government since they are running away from their responsibilities. Very soon NNPC will be privatized and it’s operation will be worse than Nepa. What a hell of a country

He actually isn’t making sense.

Will the shipping, handling and other overhead costs involved in fuel importation that add up to the landing cost still apply if we’re refining locally?

Kyari should stop turning economics on its head.

Ogbeni, it will not be cheaper.

Some of our local refineries produce other petroleum products like AGO, Kerosene when they're partially operational.

They do not sell it significantly cheaper than the global market rate. Any savings go to the profit margin.

Like cement, like rice, like gasoline. Cheap gasoline is a thing of the past.

The public should insist on diverting subsidy funds to electricity generation so most people have little reason to care about gasoline prices like most people do not care about diesel prices.

You are not making sense sir!

If home-made products won't be cheaper, then what's the point?!!

You can just come out clean and tell the people that it won't be cheaper because you all are trying to recoup revenue at the expense of the struggling masses!

NNPC is privatized. Since self.

Also, the discos and gencos are not working well, because government after privatization was still setting their prices.Below production cost.

This man should be properly question because he seems not to know what he is saying how can the price of a commodity produce in foreign land and the one produce locally can still be the same, in fact he is one of those behind the whole fuel saga.

Freight cost to and from nigeria , landing cost . Foreign refining expenses as well as taxes in the countries with the refineries . How will it not reduce?

However , I always said Dangote is no fool . He borrowed money to build the refinery . He would rather sell at the current price or higher to quickly meet his financial obligation . In fact if it is 1000 per litre the better for him . Why do you think that subsidy removal coincides with the start of his refinery ? Make we dey play dey go .

Foreign refiners are paid in crude oil %, not by cash.

The freight and landing cost will only see a N30-50 reduction in pump price. He’s just being realistic since they’re no longer seeing an avenue to continue looting via subsidies.

At last, those who demand that the refineries work first before the subsidy is removed will wake up.

Where would the cost of transportation go to? He just want to instigate Nigerians against the removal of subsidy.
Last week or so, marketers where talking about looking for a cheaper channel considering that Dangote refinery is coming up. If there is no cost adjustment to whether you produce locally or refine outside, why where they scared and talking about looking for cheaper channel?

Nnpcl is now a private company same way as Dangote. No more free giveaway. Nnpcl wants to make profit, whether the product was sources locally or abroad. That is what he is saying.

It simply means that Dangote will include all of those cost when deciding the amount he will sell his product even though he is not paying for them. Reason why Dangote price will be the same as importers.

They should check the statistics of countries that refine locally and see whether they don't sell cheaper locally. Why must ours always be different?

So Dongote won't make any difference, why all the noise about his refinery then?
These people are not being honest

He doesn't need to study economics to know these basic things.

The way I see it.. it is best he puts it this way than say it will go cheaper when local refineries come online.. the taxes and freight cost may only reduce the prices by no more than 10% which isn't significant..but Nigerians may misinterprete it and think.. the prices should drop by over 100%
