Waste of time subsidy is gone the people benefiting 6 trillion a year will sponsor this

No more Que in Lagos

If price is force to come down only NNPC will be selling
Que will be long
Black market will now be selling at 1k above is Nlc so dumb

Allow everyone be allowed to import let’s force of demand and supply determine price

Once subsidy is gone once and for all no marketers will be going on strike or hoarding yearly Nigeria experience Que since 1999 due to shortages of supply

When Jonathan said this same thing in 2012, this current government stood against him, scattered all his intentions...
So if NLC see needs to protest, let them protest. NLC is not saying they should not remove subsidy, put things in place before you enforce such policy is what NLC is saying...

Tinubu is gradually becoming arrogant and he must understand that majority of Nigerians that voted in the last presidential election have not voted for him so he has less popularity in the country

Irrelevant. You don't need the majority to win presidential. All you need is the 'most votes' which he had.

Nobody deserve to suffer as a result of government policy.

Removing subsidy is long overdue and a welcome development but the way and manner it was done is what is wrong. We still have a month before the subsidy regime expires, so I stand with labour

Either this month or next month, u na go STILL complain. You better take your bitter medicine NOW rather than postpone and PROLONG the inevitable.

They supported LP manifesto with full chest, and everything associated with it . Now they are playing politics. Obi wanted to remove subsidy from day 1. Tinubu announced that it has been removed. They are shouting. Does that mean obi will perform magic on over 200million Nigerians within 1 day for palliatives? Or he is going to deny his promises? If he wins cos I don't get it? And what measures will they take that time?. Or he will remove the subsidy partially which he can't even do by himself without lawmakers that are yet to resume?

Labour unions are partisan. TUC are very smart, they are being careful. Las Las na everything wey everyone will use to rob hands na him dem dey find.
When last did they strike and stood on their ground with full integrity?
You guys have started this blame game again. Did we elect Obi as President? Was Obi the only candidate that said he will remove subsidy, Atiku, Tinubu and Obi said it. Nobody is against subsidy removal but it has to be phased. You can't wake up one morning and impose fuel prices from 198 to 540 on very impoverished people. I know people who cannot afford transport to work or school because of fuel prices. Obi talked of provisions of palliatives, phased implementation of subsidy removal and ensuring that we have local refining before subsidy is finally completely removed. What has Tinubu done to remove subsidy.

NLC pls let forget it and move on, transport is high already I still find my way to work everyday, if I miss work for 1 day no payment for that day, if NLC start strike who is going to feed my family? Please let forget and move on. Thanks

Since they removed subsidy in diesel, has the price been forced down. Nigerians sadly don't think deeply, they are mostly aroused by ethnic and religious flare than deep thoughts that can change a nation. It's a pity

You be mumudeen. Can diesel be refined and sold in isolation from other petroleum products?

Can't you see that it's a partial deregulation?

Any sense in your write-up? Tinubu supporters are broke but don't know they're suffering. Yet he won in three geopolitical zones out of six. One wonders if the supporters of Obi aren't ordinary Nigerians like you and I.

Clueless idiots. Subsidy is gone. We should all brace up for inflationary impacts.
What alternatives does the Government have at this point. Add to the unsustainable debt burden to pay subsidy.

This is Reality.com.
The reality.com is that minimum wage is #30k. The cleaner in our office earns #30k. He spends about #7000 per month on transport to and fro work at fuel price of #198 per liter. Now fuel at #540 per liter, he is to spend more than 17k per month to work according to the calculation we saw. He is left with #13k per month. He is to resign and join the labour market if nothing is done to cater for his transport. Imagine millions of low income earners you see in taxis and buses commuting to work daily, the same fate awaits them.
When you guys analyze issue, remember millions of people like our cleaner in the office.

In my mumudeen, am asking since subsidy was removed on both diesel and kerosene, how much has been reduced. You introduced the idea that deregulation will force down prices. I now used the one that has been deregulated to ask just one question, has the price of diesel and kerosene come down since subsidy was removed? Love your country and fellow citizens above your President.

There are more sense in my write-up than you decide to see in it, to break it down, i meant, in my area, a guy that earn 15k is presently happy that subsidy was removed hes not factoring is daily transport and food price hike, now the subsidy being removed how has it positively benefited him? yet hes suffering without realising cause hes used to it

When last did they strike and stood on their ground with full integrity?

The present NLC- Mr Ajaero has a hidden Agenda because he is a Labour Party man and since elections,he has never been a happy man through his different comments!
He is trying to use Indirect ways through TUC,to fight for Labour Party,to see how they can get a Voice they lost since, in 8-yrs of Buhari era, hence their motive of strike, just 5-days of Tinubu Govt is not tenable!
For over decades, NLC have not fought for Millions of Workers Welfare, not even during Covid-19 ,that Nigerians were locked -down, yet nothing was paid to the worker!
President Tinubu-should immediately called the NLC for Negotiations, even though he has not assembled his government but as a Leader with Compassion and ask the NLC to present it's Own proposal for Workers -Salary -Raise,so that it won't dance to the labour anxiety.
Indeed, Nigerian Workers have suffered different deprivation from- wicked Employers, Banks,Multinationals, even the Courts- where thousands of Pensioners Cases are being incommunicado, yet Labour Leaders are helpless!
Are NLC and TUC fighting so that Benin-Republic, Cameroon, Niger and Chad can continue to smile to their Banks, while our Youths are jobless and,no lights available,as we write ?
Let's fear God o!
God Bless Nigeria.
