The Management of the Polytechnic Ojoku declared Monday, June 12 a public holiday to mark this year’s Democracy Day celebration.

Recall the Federal Government has on Thursday declared Monday a public holiday through the Permanent Secretary, federal ministry of Interior, Dr. Oluwatoyin Akinlade.

Speaking on behalf of the institution Rector, Mr. Salahudeen Oyewale, the Poly Ojoku public relations officer, Hammed J. Sulaiman congratulates all Nigerians on the occasion.

He added, "Sequel to the Federal Government's declaration of June 12, 2023 as a public holiday to celebrate this year's Democracy Day, I have the directive of the Rector to duly inform you of the development.

Consequentially, Monday, 12th of June, 2023 should be observed as holiday.

"While felicitating with fellow law-abiding citizens on the forthcoming memorable occasion, the Rector tasks the entire Polytechnic Community to appreciate the progress that has been made for the past years per our National Unity.

"The Rector also, in his good spirit and with his exemplary leadership skills, urges the entire management, staff and students to always remain steadfast on the guiding principles of democracy.

"Thank you."
