Urgent Plea for Intervention - Delay in Obtaining Letter of Administration for Deceased Mother's Pension and Benefits

Your Excellency,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to you today as a concerned citizen of Lagos State, filled with a deep sense of frustration and disappointment over the prolonged delay in obtaining the Letter of Administration necessary for my deceased mother's pension and other accrued benefits. It is with a heavy heart that I seek your intervention in this matter, as the process has been mired in seemingly deliberate acts of the authorities involved.

Firstly, please allow me to express my utmost respect for the efforts your administration has made in improving the lives of Lagosians. Your commitment to governance, infrastructure development, and welfare programs has been truly commendable. However, I bring to your attention a pressing issue that requires immediate attention and resolution.

The process to obtain the Letter of Administration for my late mother's entitlements began approximately over one year ago. We have diligently followed all necessary procedures, paying the required fees and completing the requisite documentation. Despite our best efforts, the process has been plagued with delays and obstacles, with the most significant setback being the non-release of the Letter of Administration by the Lagos State High Court.

Your Excellency, it is disheartening to note that my mother, a proud Lagosian from both her mother and father's side, dedicated her life in service to our dear state. She faithfully contributed to its development and progress. It pains me deeply that her children, all proud Lagosians ourselves, appear now being denied the right to access her entitlements. This situation not only adds to our grief but also threatens our ability to sustain ourselves and honor her memory.

We recently discovered that pension payments for pensioners have been made by the office of the Governor. It is disheartening to learn that administrative bottlenecks, are causing such distressing delays in obtaining the rightful entitlements of deserving individuals. We place our trust in your commitment to promoting efficient governance.

I implore you, Your Excellency, to direct appropriate authorities to intervene in this matter with utmost urgency. We humbly request that you use your good office to expedite the release of the long-awaited Letter of Administration, enabling us to rightfully claim our mother's pension and benefits. We understand the immense challenges faced by your administration and the multifaceted responsibilities you bear, but we trust in your dedication to justice, fairness, and eradication of corruption.

We firmly believe that the values of transparency, accountability, and efficiency that your administration upholds can help rectify this situation. Your intervention would not only alleviate the burden on our family but also serve as a testament to the government's commitment to safeguarding the rights of its citizens.

Your Excellency, we place our hopes in your compassionate leadership, knowing that you will extend a helping hand to your fellow Lagosians in their time of need. We are confident that you will take the necessary steps to ensure that justice is served, and our family can access our mother's entitlements without further delay.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. We eagerly await a positive resolution and remain grateful for your tireless efforts in making Lagos State a better place for all its residents.

Yours sincerely,

Obasanya S.O.

Please help us share far and wide. It's our turn today, it may be yours tomorrow

Please, help us share on all social media. There are so many people in the same situation. Your sharing this post on all your social media can help draw attention of the Lagos State Governments to the predicaments of many people that are dying silently.
