MTN3.5g Rumuomasi Portharcourt averages about 500-600Kbps, but can bump up to 2mbps when the need arises.

Glo is 90% crap

Airtel is 70% crap

Etisalat 3G 0.08 kbps to 20kbps ,,,,,Abuja

not advisable to use this Network if you travel to Abuja on Business,,take any 3G or check with your Hotel, Etisalat Modens dont work in most Hotels in Abuja because of Signal Interference, but you can unlock it for other Networks. And all Hotels in Abuja dont use Etisalat .The service which Etisalat gets in Abuja is plugged in via MTN Corperation , and MTN only give them volume caps weekends,it used to be off-peak, but since January off-peak no signal has well

Just because they "display" 4G or 18G on your phone does not mean they are!
If you consider that the "G" stands for "Generation", how can a bandwidth of 200kbps claim even to be 3G?

I am amused at how this Telecoms companies fool Nigerians!.

Please ask your folks who use 3.5G (Vodafone for example), in "advanced economy" (where you cant just "make a claim" but you have to justify it in performance!), let them tell you what their 'Upload/Download' bandwidth are!

You will nearly collapse with laughter, when you think that they are already giving you 5G in Nigeria! grin grin
Even abroad, 4G is still in a "test phase", in most places! shocked shocked wink

sharap dia!
Who told u some people dont go above 200kbps?
Why is it so difficult for some people living in 'advanced economy' to believe that some people living in naija are capable of enjoying good things atimes.

Glo 3G - Lagos satellite town - Zero advised to downgrade to Edge and guess what i get on my laptop Upload; 1.482-3.65kbps average and Download; o.54-12.82kbps average Very frustrating

Interestingly in the night in Abuja - Gwarinpa Estate - 380kbps-1.2Mbps on HSDPA quite fast and only when i do enjoy their service also in their Gloworld office at Ajao Estate while lodging complaints but by the time i drove up to DHL it was Sh;;t service again.

I guesss most of their claims are false. Pls can somebody shed more light on this new Etisalat package.

Missed mentioning Starcomms in our branch office maybe very slow in Festac but equally stable. We need the forum IT guns to help shed more light in this thread to enlighten the rest of us

Please, anyone with 2MBps and above should upload a screenshot to back it up.
3Mbps - Looks like you are only the one using their network to get such a speed.
If you really want to know how fast, download any file more than 2MB (music, video etc) then note the average.
Dont just download a 100kb file or open a web page and assume its that fast.
Please, im not calling anyone a noob or newbie in this, neither are we say the poster is bluffing but we just want to get facts right.
Thanks for your contribution.
