My cousin wishes to apply for admission into one of these 37 private universities that where recently approved by NUC. However, I'm discouraging him about such move since the courses those schools offer are not yet fully Accredited.

Though I don't know how NUC accreditation works, but I have a friend who studied Electronics engineering in UNN. (2021 set) the guy had to rectify some issues because UNN had lost accreditation for Electronics engineering when he got admitted in 2015. Although he still went to service after rectifying the issue.

Boses in the, should my cousin go ahead to apply for the new private university?

It's not advisable.

Those courses will gain accreditation before your cousin graduates.
