Speaking on the establishment of the Polytechnic Ojoku, he said "the Polytechnic started operations some years ago. Doctor Abdulrasaq Omoniyi Oyewale, the proprietor, initiated this project in 2015. We had to travel to Kaduna to make some findings on how to establish a polytechnic from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). In 2018, they (officials of the NBTE) came and some recommendations, same thing happened in 2020, hence gave approval for the kick-off of the Polytechnic in 2021/2022 academic year.

"Officially, we started off in February 2021 with about 25 students; glory be to God now we have half of a thousand students.

"There are visions, missions and philosophies behind the establishment of this institution. We are strategically, progressively and continuously working towards their fulfillment.

"Be rest assured that our polytechnic is set to rank amongst the best polytechnics in the country and to develop students so as to make positive impacts in the Nigeria society. We gear to achieve this through provision of a highly qualitative polytechnic education with excellence.

"I believe the students will have an edge to succeed in their chosen careers with our numerous innovation cum entrepreneurial skills."

Mr. Oyewale affirmed his commitment that the institution will move to its permanent site in Ojoku before 2024/25 academic year.

He also advised students to face their primary assignment in the Polytechnic which is education.

"I tell them all other things are secondary.

"I want to use this medium to again tell the students to take full advantage of opportunities this institution presents. I enjoin them to make best use of the lectures received and related phenomenal.

"I encourage them to be serious and do not forget to find ways to contribute to the progress of the society.

"As they meet with their lecturers to talk about their interests and aspirations, and to guide them on the courses they are taking, I encourage them to go forth in a spirit of exploration and adventure.

"Apart from the four walls of the classrooms, they should make sure to try new things, explore and undertake research. Meet people and tell them about new ideas.

"Lastly, I want them to know that the entire polytechnic community is here to support, sustain and encourage them. We could not be more privileged to welcome them into this vibrant learning community.

"They make us what we are, and we look forward to fresh ideas and energy they bring to our campus. Thank you all once again."
