I hope your friend sent the wife back to her parents house.?

Nna, they do oh. When the trakker is installed, there is a microphone that comes with it. It is usually placed on the roof by the windscreen, hidden behind the upholstery. There is a text message you send to the car, it activates the mic mode. When you then place a call to you tracker number, it picks. You then listen clearly to all the conversations made in the vehicle.

He was to meet with his friends (males&females).
Read the article again.
The woman just happened to be the first to arrive.
People with dirty mind and dirty lifestyle always assume other people degrade themselves like they do.
What if the place isn't a hotel room but an apartment, would it still be wrong for her to visit?
What is the case the police would have put forward against him in court, that they caught them doing something bad, or that they just met her in his hotel room?
Some of you don't think with an open mind.
You think if married women want to cheat they'll do it openly in a hotel room where people can see them going inside and coming out of the hotel?
Your comment shows your age and level of maturity.

You should even be grateful to God that the police came to disrupt whatever might have happened that night.
So many things could have gone wrong, for instance: the married woman might have died in your room during sex or your preek would have hooked up in her kpekus thereby attracting public intervention, her jealous husband could also have traced you himself & put a bullet in your thick skull, etc.
If the woman was even laced with magun, you would have died while mounting her.
She may even claimed that you raped her & soil your reputation, if you have one.
All these are examples of things that could have gone wrong that night.

Maybe God saved you through the police disrupting the almost inevitable adulterous act.

Pls if you want to live long, stay far away from married women no matter how enticing they look & no matter how noble your intentions are.
I dont care if you've known each other for centuries

Last time I checked, adultery occurs when there's sexual intercourse between a married person and another individual. Since when is visitation considered adultery?
complexstuffs:

Section 387 and 388 stipulate the punishment of imprisonment for two years, and/or with a fine for the crime of adultery committed in that region.

The Police Force messed up again.

Lack of shame is a disease.

Seems the friend's husband is the one that set this sting up .
Why do you think as a lawyer he had to calm down and chill after making noice. Did he not sleep in cell and got granted bail eventually? I am sure he wount talk of the part he had to settle to get himself out of the mess.
Adultry is a criminal offence in the north with 2 years imprisonment that can be extended. Option of fine I think is applicable too.
Had he not chilled he would have been charged to court the next day along with the woman.

Hmmm. Baba, I am sorry but having a married woman in yhur hotel room alone with yhu doesn't sound morally right to me.

It appears someone must have snitched on yhu which could only mean one thing: yhu have been known to always have the married woman over with yhu in yhur hotel room.

Of all places, why must it be inside yhur hotel room? What happens to an open space around or within the hotel?

Abi yhu be human activist by day and clitovist at night?

I know naija police can over do but baba, yhur way no just seem pure with that married woman abeg.

How will yhu feel if yhur wife goes to see a so called male friend in his hotel room? I Know yhur type will jump to yhur defense here but the koko be say yhu no dey morally pure.

And check the time: at 6:40pm when she supposed dey house. Shameless adulterer. It's probably not the first time. It has happened before. Why call to invite a married woman on arrival late evening? She could visit in the morning. I guess no other person was invited that night. Others got calls as Kalasa burst.

Does Abuja practice Sharia law? That should be question.

God bless you. I breathed a sigh of relief immediately I read your post because that has been the question bothering my mind and it is sad I had to read 4 pages of baloney before i got to read your submission.

Kudos, at least I am convinced that the country isn't populated by dullards even though they are majority.

Lol welcome to Nigeria.

I have been to the Cell many Times.

Something somehow Similar to your Ordeal though but not particularly marital affairs.

Some of these experiences are what motivated me to Join the Security Agencies.

Now I bounce in and out of any Station all over the Nation like a Boss.

BTW, It doesn't make any Sense meeting Married Spouse in a place like Hotel most especially in an Uncivil Society like Nigeria riddled with Infinite Ignorance.

One of the things you should not do in this life is have a married woman in your room or house without her spouse. There are lobbys, restaurants and bars.

This one is very stupid!
He should have been tortured for saying it's normal for a married woman to visit him in a hotel room. Imagine it to be his own wife visiting another idiot like him in a hotel.
The woman in question is as stupid as an ass.
Not my business but may God punish both of them!!!

Its a small device, the size of a phone or there about. A proper installer will tell you to discharge when installing it so even you will not know where it is installed in the vehicle. That is incase robbers grab the car owner and demands he shows them the location of the trakking device.
Where it is installed is hidden.
Trackker TK102, TK103.
Thats the name.

You are too emotional, and it's clouding your reasoning.

Assumptions are not facts/proofs, and definitely not enough for police to arrest.

I can't believe the comments I'm seeing here. A country filled with moral dimwits. Sad but harsh truth. sad

Yes no doubt about it, the morality of the episode is questionable, but NOT ILLEGAL, YOU BLITHERING IDIOTS!!

Equally shocking the speed which the police were able to react to this, with - wait for it - about 6 officiers in tow!!

Had it been an actual crime (robbery etc) do you think those shameless men in black would be this efficient??

And you have towering imbeciileles here supporting this naked disgrace by the Nigerian police. Shame on you all. Useless things.

Nigerians tend to major in the minor. If you noticed, none would have condemned it was a married man meeting a single lady. Imagine the police spending time on extramarital affairs when there are other issues to bother themselves with.

Thank God you said "non sharia states"

Abuja operates a Penal law since the 60's, and the police were only there to prevent a crime from happening.

Obviously, the woman's husband is likely to be the complainant, and who knows what he could have done if he did not involve the police?

And for your information, Adultery is a criminal offence under the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria. Section 387 and 388 stipulate imprisonment for two years, and/or with a fine for adultery.

If you think adultery is not about to occur, then why on earth is a married woman the first to come visit you from your trip, and she even arrived 20min after your arrival, to make the matter worse, she arrived at 6:40pm.

A responsible woman, if not at home, should be on her way home to take of her family at that hour of the day. But the chances are high, the odds are low that they are not about to commit to each other.

But the husband was wise, the police were swift and the crime didn't occur.

Just passing by and a bit hesitant to reply but at the bolded.
have you actually read what you have written?
Please step back and read again what you have written, then jump into a vehicle, drive round the city to check out a few hotels, make some enquiries especially to the security men on duty and show them exactly what you have written here.

I know you are livid at the man for his actions but I am afraid that the law is only applied to offences committed not intended. And there is no proof of intention here as far as the report is concerned. Please do not confuse the law with morality.
