Liverpool have reportedly scheduled a meeting with Victor Osimhen's representatives to discuss their interest in the player.

The 24-year-old had an outstanding season in Serie A with Napoli, scoring 26 goals to win the Scudetto, Capocannoniere, and consequently the best striker award.

Osimhen's transfer situation
As Pulse Sports reported previously, Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis claimed that they have reached an agreement in principle with the striker on a two-year extension that keeps the Nigeria international at the club until 2027.

However, the player, according to him, would be allowed to leave if a massive offer was made for him.

A recent report by GetfootballNewsItaly claims the president and Osimhen's agent had talks over a renewal but did not reach an agreement.

The report claimed Osimhen's demands were not met, as he believes he stands to make more elsewhere should he leave the club this summer.

It remains to be seen if the Merseysiders would be willing to match Napoli's over-€150 million request for the striker, given that they pulled out of Jude Bellingham's deal despite being in pole position, citing lack of finances.
