Pls I am a student of a federal university here in Nigeria. Our grading system is 5 points cgpa system. I am in the department of computer science. My current Cgpa is 2.97 with one F. I am currently in 300 level ( first semester) I wanted to know if I still graduate with a Cgpa of at least 3.5 ( second class upper division) I have 4 semester left to achieve this and industrial training which is 6 credit load and project which is also 6 credit load.

Definitely you can, I started from 200l after my national diplomaand currently in a federal university studing an engineering course, @200l first semester I had 2:78, second semester 3:36, 300l first semester 3:52, currently in second semester yet to write exam 4:50 is the aim , so definitely you can still do much more better, don't lose focus.

Since your present Grade Point is low, you've got a lot of work to do.

They can be simplified into the following points:

1. Read & conduct personal research on respective courses you're offering for that semester/session.

2. Time management is very important. The time allocated to sleeping, studying, social activities, etc should be well planned by you.

3. Study past questions, and get correct answers. Learn if the questions of the courses are usually repeated & praise them well.

4. Do a background check on the lecturers offering each course. Ask from your "seniors" & know their lecturing styles; some like repeating past questions (with little or no twist), some set an entirely different questions, some set predictable questions from the handouts given to you, some set from the assignments & impromptu class tests given to you, etc.

5. At the beginning of semester, always do a review on the courses you're offering, to know which has the high Load Unit & dedicate more time to them.
NOTE: All courses are important, but the ones with higher Load Units, say 4 or 3 Unit Courses, has more impact on your result than the ones with lower Load Units, say 1 Unit Course

6. Lastly, don't forget to pray for grace in all your endeavours, it's very important.
