Play a quick round of kitchen-cupboard bingo. How many litres of oil (if any) do you currently have at home? How much flour?

Our world is facing severe economic challenges, but it's likely you still have access to supermarkets that stock a range of oils - olive, sunflower, and so on. When it comes to flour, we can choose between plain, organic, and the list goes on. In this session, we'll read the story of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath.

She had very few options available to her and very little oil and flour left. And yet her faith led to a supernatural outpouring of God's provision, and her example still speaks powerfully into our twenty-first-century circumstances.

1 Kings 17:10-14 reads. So he went to Zarephath. When he came to the town gate, a widow was there gathering sticks. He called to her and asked. "Would you bring me a little water in a jar so I may have a drink?"

As she was going to get it, he called. "And bring me. please. a piece of bread." "As surely as the Lord your God lives." she replied. "I don't have any bread - only a handful of flour in a jar and a little olive oil in a jug. I am gathering a few sticks to take home and make a meal for myself and my son. that we may eat it - and die." Elijah said to her. "Don't be afraid. Go home and do as you have said. But first, make a small loaf of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son.

For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: 'The jar of flour will not be used up, and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the land.

when economic times are tough, prices are high, and disposable income has been squeezed, our natural reaction is to keep the little we have and ration our consumption.

How would you feel if someone asked the same of you today?

If any prophet today makes a demand like Elijah, all daddy freezes , Antichristians, MaximumSide in this world will not allow us rest.

However, when necessary, itt works.

For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, -Romans 15:18

More than that I used my house rent to pay for tenancy for my local church. Ever since, I have never taken any house from agents. Though my work takes me away from my family, I have offers to take accommodation free.
